Great video, my presets panel is glitching meaning I can’t see the sat nav when on. If I replace the part 8W0919614N, does it need reprogramming in the back end?
If I wanted to change the silver trim around the gear selector do I need to remove this giant section of the center console or can I get away with just removing the gear knob and leather?
Great video. Note that if you want to remove the MMI unit, you have to separate the plastic cover from the base plastic unit. There are 3 screws that you have to remove - all around the cup holder. The rest of the cover can be pried off. There are 4 screws in each corner of the MMI unit that hold it in place. I removed and opened the MMI unit and cleaned the circuit board with electronic cleaner. My MMI unit had a run-in with Diet Coke. Unfortunately cleaning it did not work for me. The NAV/tel and the menu buttons still don’t work. Next step is eBay to get a used one.
So one minor thing he doesn't mention is that you have to tap into the gray wire to the reverse wire on your aftermarket radio so the unit knows to switch to the backup camera. Otherwise, the wires he points out in this video works with a new aftermarket unit.
So, once the IGLA is installed, I can get into the app and change whether I want the vehicle to start before the code is entered or after the code is entered?
I have it installed on my '17 SS. The remote start still works perfectly. Although, if you do remote start it, once you get in you'll still have to input the pin or it'll shut off.
