I'm a medium on top and small on the bottom half, 5'5",and a bit of a belly. What do I do with that? I don't have a model body. These styles are for tall model types.
Years ago in high school when I first went to a hairdresser to get highlights on my mousy brown hair. No, he said you don’t have brown hair, you have very dark blond hair, which as he said it turns out adding blond to mousy ‘brown’ hair is much easier than if I actually had brown hair. So if your natural hair can be described as ‘mousy brown’ it could indeed be a very dark blond. And I’m a spring.
in this you verballysay that a true spring's primary aspect is warm and the secondary aspect is light. this is at 5:22 on your video. however you have written the exact opposite on the video. i'm sure this is an accidental error, but I think you need to fix it because it is quite confusing.🙂
I recently had colour analysis done by lady with 24 years experience. I was advised I'm light summer. I have grey hair, it's almost white at the front, my eyes are grey, but do have yellowish star burst patten, my skin is pale and slightly on the warm side. When I was young my hair had golden fair tones, I was never ash blond. I am still somewhat confused. I can only think my grey hair was the overriding element and that when younger I would have been light spring.
Isabella, if you are a fashion consultant, shouldn't you know that with the wide shoulders you have, it's not good idea to have spaghetti straps? :) Thank you for the informative video 🙂I am soft summer and heard that I can borrow from soft autumn :)
I believe I am a true summer. Only thing that makes me doubt is that my hair has always had a red tinge when sun bleached, though the overall color is more a medium ash brown. When I dye my hair to an ash brown it really makes my eyes pop (dark blue/grey)
Thank you so much! I always thougt I was a soft autumn, but a color analyst said that I am a winter (but that doesnt make sense to me) and after this video I now know that I am a soft summer!
Whenever I watch your videos, I'm thrown off by your own styling -- like in this video you're dressed in Winter colors but wearing a coral lipstick, which is not a Winter cosmetic color.
I have grey cool eyes and grey to grey cool hair but í have neutral to warm undertone..ivory in winter but get warm in summer time I feel I can mix those two together but can’t wear red in my hair…well then I look sick😝 but I am 100% muted no matter what👍🏻
It's confusing for some of us summers. As a non-descript Summer (neutral-to-slightly cool, equally light & muted, bluish-greenish-greyish eyes, and naturally mushroom-blond hair - slowly darkening) I don't fit 100% into any of the sub-seasons well. Light Summer pastels are too light for my skin and Soft Summer is too dark & muted. Summers greens make me look red, while summer lavenders make me look yellow. So I'm in a comfortable 'rut' of mid-intensity, light-to-mid value, cool blues (Sky blue, Mediterranean blue, oxford blue) which brings out my eyes and balances my skin. I came to (DIY) color analysis to expand my color choices, but ended up only picking up a few dusty mauve tee-shirts. Curious if other summers have this same experience! (Funny thing is Redditers say I'm Soft Autumn, Light Spring, Soft Summer, Cool, Maybe Olive - all over the map!)
She mentioned brown eyes too, but a brown closer to grey rather than the typical caramel or chocolate brown, for example i have medium brown hair and eyes but they are very muted, almost greenish. You can't be a cool type if your eyes are very warm because the yellow orange pigments (Carotenoids) are most likely present on the skin too.
This is my body type, but I am not top-heavy at all! I've got smallish breasts, a tummy and a bum! And to top it off, I'm short... amazing! I wish I could pull off Victoria Beckham vibes, but I'm so far from her in every sense of the word. She has SUCH an incredible style. What do us short, curvy, inverted V-shapes do for some style?
I'm actually ash auburn my father was "dishwater blonde" and mother is full redhead and when born i didn't get my curls in until almost a month old and they were dark ashy blonde but by 5 years old i was auburn and even being a type of redhead auburn is cool undertone and my central heterochromia eyes are gray inner and olive outer and skin is absolutely cool undertone. So everything about me is cool/muted so even though never been professionally draped i self identify as soft summer
Margot is not a summer, she's a spring (even though she can pull off some of the summer color palette, she rocks gold over silver, making her more dominant as a spring). And warm peaches or corals should never be used for any summer season palette. Summer is all cool.
I think most of my clothes are not flattering for my body type. Thank you for giving tips on how to style so I don’t give it all away! I wore a high neck body suit and tapered jeans and my body looked masculine in pics ☹️
