Just bought this a few days ago. I’m really excited to play it. Haven’t had the chance yet but I love the history of WW1 in particular and like BF1 in the same timeframe, I still play that game right now. Thanks for the vid
Got 6 hours on the game now and I have a blast almost every match 🤙 wish I found the game sooner. Also on Xbox servers there are usually 10 or more full servers so that’s nice
I like history, especially the wars but I don't play these games, they are simply not fun for me. I played maybe 3 online games and it was nothing but aerial spamm and arty spamm on the points for 40 mins in my games. And offline the bots in Isonzo cheat too much. Which is why I will refrain from ever getting another one of these games. Edit: thanks for interacting, Uber, even if my comment wasn't that positive about a game you enjoy. I think this game is better with friends but alas, like you said at the start, there is apathy towards the subject these games draw inspiration from i'm stuck playing this solo. I keep coming back to it for the historical accuracy but I can't finish a game, my patience runs too thin. Subbed, I'll just watch you play.
@@yyote8214 At the moment however, since the release of the 8.0 patch for Squad, the GE Mod has become incredibly less optimized, thanks to said patch. So for now, the only thing the GE Mod has over the game, is content. I hope they resolve the performance issues soon.
i dont understand why squad cant let players decide what they want to play, kinda like warthunder. Add an "arcade" option in wich you gert rid of the realistic aim system and weapon swey, and let every community decide how their server is played. I dont think that would be hard to do.
I love the mod but i dont love invasion mode enough to make it my main played mode and thus only sometimes play the mod but mostly play vanilla. The mod revolves mostly around invasion so you can imagine my disappointment with this otherwise amazing mod.
I do agree with you that the lack of players on more historical accurate games is due to a lack interest and integrity of history. That’s also just me, but I find it disappointing.
Honestly I love the Shadow Company PMC group, a scenario I always wanted to experience from Squad would be a Second American Civil War , like US army - Federals , or the PMC for example against the USMC-USarmy
I've only played Verdun, but what I didn't enjoy was the quality of the game. It felt like a poor man's Red Orchestra 2. Gameplay and animations were not of the same quality and the maps were not enjoyable. The trenches of WW1 in Verdun do not, in my opinion, make for good gameplay in a shooter where you die from 1 shot. Didn't bother with Tannenberg because it seemed odd that they split the playerbase. Isonzo looks pretty great from the maps. I might dive in and give the series a shot. Ideally, they should've combined all fronts into one game, which would make for great variety, and they could pull in what they have learned over the years.
This mod is point and click, doesn’t require any skill to kill, and because of that takes away from the immersion and realism of squad. Love the new factions and prox chat though. Plus the player base is uncooperative, immature, and really not smart when it comes to tactics and strategy. Just my thoughts from the 20 or so games I’ve played
Agreed, only certain people respect history and actually know a good amount about it. People rather play cod instead of enjoy old school style games with way better graphics. Battlefield V is decent world war game but isonzo and hell let loose are so much more enjoyable.
