I actually live in North Yorkshire and used to play Tenor Horn myself many years ago! I just don't have time nowadays as I know just how commited you have to be :)
As someone who's played this at competition in the UK (on bass trombone, no less), I have to say - marvellous job! The funk roots are shining through, and the whole band sounds really locked in - both in tuning and timing. And the bass trombone absolutely knocks it out of the park, particularly at 2:25. And the final chord! Absolute magic, thoroughly well done to the whole band! Bravo, absolutely amazing job!
Tis amazing all you need to do is read the chart including the force marks and "walla" a contemporary read of a classic Salvation Army march...well done.
Really well done! Dynamics were terrific and that made it much more lively. I would like just a little more percussion from bass, snare, and cymbal. Have you done virtual compositions in these Covid times? Thank you!!
브라보 연주가 멋있습니다 ^*^ Whenever I listen to the Olympic anthem, it makes me emotional. Especially as I had been involved as a member of the 88' Seoul Olympic Organizing Committee.
Great arrangement adapted from Violinski's album - No Cause for Alarm - The tune was written by John Marcangelo and performed by Violinksi with Mik Kaminski of the Electric Light Orchestra on violin! (Go Mik!)
C'mon bass drum you looked like you were eating breakfast Play louder and without shame. That will also lift the snare drum and the band a bit more. IT'S A MARCH!:)
some seem to think this is easy, technically yes, but its not about note bashing anyone can waggle their fingers fast, this is about music and that's where the difficulty comes in
