One cannot deny that Honkai Impact 3rd (at least Part/Chapter 1, didn't start Part/Chapter 2 yet) has the best story out of all of Hoyo's current games (Genshin, HSR, HI3). Also, the music is insane. But it is so because of the emotional weight that the story produces. HSR is a close second and Genshin has done really, really well in Fontaine. The rest before Fontaine wasn't as good. HSR has enough weight to make the music good but HI3 is clearly on a whole other level.
[Verse 1] Mend your pace, sway to the beat Hands up! Embrace who you wanna be We're reaching heights unseen, oh-woah [Verse 2] Feel the fire deep within You're the key to where my trust begins Join my dream, it's just the right time, woah-oh [Pre-Chorus] Leave it all behind (All behind) Get ready now [Chorus] Rise up into my world Renew your definition World so high, let me show And hear my declaration "No more ties" [Verse 3] Off the ground and tap your feet Look, stars are near when you feel the beat We're bound for a greater height, oh-woah [Verse 4] Take a leap into the blaze Don't lose yourself in mundanity Join my dream, it is the right time, woah-oh [Pre-Chorus] Leave it all behind Get ready now! (Sing along) [Chorus] Welcome to my world Renew your definition World so high, let me show And hear my declaration "No more ties" [Bridge] (Woah, woah) (Leave it all behind) (Woah-oh) Welcome to my world Renew your definition World so high, let me show Now hear my declaration [Chorus] Welcome to my world Renew your definition World so high, we'll show And go beyond horizon Side by side
Yup - some have been acted upon, some just never materialized; couldn't really make as much nowadays now that work's taking most of my time, and I couldn't even cover all the ones I want/should cover from Hoyo games. That said, I am open yes, so while I couldn't commit to anything, pitching one wouldn't hurt
@@ccmusicc Just feels like the Genshin ost has gotten a bit stale since Yu-peng Chen left. Fontaine definitely has some banger tracks but compared to the other regions its pretty lackluster. While I don't have any specific recommendations I love almost everything by Kevin Penkin (Made in Abyss composer) and Hiroyuki Sawano (AOT composer) and would highly recommend listening to their stuff. Maybe you will be inspired! p.s. I learnt your Moon Halo arrangement (which is absolutely beautiful btw) and will be performing it in public soon!
I generally wouldn't like to compare things that I'm not too knowledgeable of (as in I don't know how much of the work Yu-Peng did when he was still there) as I might draw conclusions that I just made up, but what I'd say is that I believe newer regions still have really good tracks, but the "flagship" tracks (battle theme, boss themes) do feel like they don't bang as hard
