Welcome to JENSEN DIY! Most of the content on this channel will be how to plumbing videos, tool videos, outdoor projects, inside & outside home repairs, chainsaw, firewood & woodstove videos, pretty well anything DIY that comes along that I think may help someone out! even the odd comedy video :) or at least my idea of comedy lol! ie.( how to unclog a toilet #shorts ) which is an accurate how to video of how to unclog a toilet but with a bit of humour! I mean who doesn't like to laugh! There may even be a video here and there of an adventure that has nothing to do with DIY! I hope you find my videos helpful or at least somewhat entertaining! If you do, please consider subscribing! Thanks for Watching!
@@utdavid Check out my, How to fix a Hissing toilet vid. It sounds like you could have debris in fill valve causing it to fill slowly. You can clean it out & if that doesn’t work replace fill valve. Good luck!
Daymn ur the goat! haha Checked out ~5 other videos before yours but only U rectified my issue! One I've been having for months. Thank you!! Just something 'off' but didn't vibe was red flag need of a plumber. Wasthis close to calling a plumber 1st thing & no doubt would've been just ~150 for the labor (them simply coming by & checking it out) I have minimal to no attention span/patience haha but U were super clear & precise w/ ur tips!! Ended up just needing to turn the valve counter clockwise as you said & the persistent 'filling up sound' stops. Pops up & turns off as it's supposed to! Toilet is only ~3 yrs old. Maybe not 'brand new ' but not at old. Thinking (maybe) over time it kept turning clockwise on it's own & got to the point where issue escalated on its own.
@@TheMochaangel The adjuster lowers the float. If you can’t lower the float then you may want to consider installing a fill valve with adjuster. Hope this helps!
@@JENSENDIY i wish RU-vid had a way for me to send you a photo. :-( unfortunately, i am having to turn the water supply (the one on the bottom wall by the toilet) off and on. So, the bouncing object is able to stop the running water when i hold it /pull it up. as soon as i let go, it starts over, running. I placed white vinegar in the tank to see if those bath toilet smell good blue thingy may cause built up, vinegar did nothing. Im frustrated.
Thank you so much! None of the men in my house wanted to do the research to fix this issue and I said enough is enough. I found you and it's fixed. Thank you so much!
@@melindahernandez8778 lf you have a regular mattress on slats the only suggestion l have is to use a box spring under the mattress instead of slats as a box spring allows airflow through. Hope this helps!
@@Squishy-or3lh Check & possibly replace the valve seal shown in video, also check fill tube from flush valve to fill valve for debris. Hope this helps!
Is it worth giving it a shot at trying to adjust the nut on a PRV that's old l, the nut is rusty and a little corroided. Just a little scared that if I turn the nut it might leak and I'll have to replace it.
@@SaL-ep7zb In most cases, when a prv is old or rusty as you have described, adjustment doesn’t work. You could try adjusting but make sure your main shut off works beforehand. Good luck!
After watching this video I did my tracker rear drum brakes today. It was simpler than I expected. The only trick is to release the self-adjuster unit (the gizmo JENSEN DIY forgot to install) to get the drums back on over the new shoes. Then readjust them by stepping hard on the brake pedal a few times. You really can't pre-adjust them like standard US domestic drum brakes.
@@LeFraudHasChokedInSIXFinals Glad it was easier than expected for you! thanks for sharing these tips, that’s what these videos are all about, making it easier for the next guy👍
thank you so much you just save my daughter a trip to Home Depot...We did the first example no more hissing and we have flused it like 4 times already..ih the past i have always been so quick to just buy another one🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@JosephButler1996 Abs glue, Schwartz Y2 brand. If the piping is abs you should always use a yellow abs glue unless transitioning from abs to pvc pipe. It can be any brand as long as it’s meant for abs
Our kitchen sink just won't stay leak free. New basket, new lower gasket, new plumbers putty above... Cleaned everything up but the putty oozed for weeks and we got leaking down through the basket assembly onto the drain body threads consistently. Every couple days it would re-start. (Tip: make a thin snake of paper towel and tie it around suspect leak spots and it will wick the moisture and you'll know which spot is leaking more easily.)can't seem to dig up the foam top gaskets around here. Going to try silicone this time around.
@@SethJayson lf you can get your hands on a kindred 1135 they have a plastic basket & tailpiece & are pretty leak proof. The only issue I’ve run into is you need a bit more space between bottom of sink and piping for them to fit properly but if they fit they don’t leak. Good luck!
I live in Germany and here they use vinegar for a LOT of things to clean around, gets rid off bad odors too. Back when I lived in the USA bleach was the way to go but I feel its supper strong and unhealthy especially around kids and pets. I am gonna use my husband's toothbrush, old toothbrush of course...:D Thanks for the tip!
I love your video. Straight to the point. Gets the job done. you sir, please keep making tutorial and dont have those "look at all of these ads before getting to the point.
I broke mines in the process of trying to take it off 🫠😩 but atleast I can turn the water off and don’t have to hear that sound anymore I have 2 bathrooms so I’ll just use the other one in the meantime 😭
