The animatronics should’ve got sent back to CEC Entertainment for the Northridge, CA and Hicksville, NY locations rather than being destroyed or sold off or to private collector or stored in storage.
I love this Publix. They tore down the original building and rebuilt it. The sign by the road is the original, though. If you look closely, there is also an Eckerd Drug Store.
Larry buckman was a real jerk didn't think things through like being a taker and liar with things. Larry took advantage of his father his son brother and two sisters. I could see why Helen Susan and gil never want to see him again because of taking advantage of them. Larry dad I can tell was mad taking his money him gambling partying being with thugs also trying sell his car. I know him trying sell his fathers car made me mad without asking he didn't want to sell it because a classic car. I remember his father would do you think about getting a job. I sure didn't like how Larry was thrown in front of his father and son his father right friends slow down and stop
I went to Kaley all the way from Kindergarten in 1984 all the way until the 5th grade (1990 or 1991). I was always bad and causing the teachers grief but the students laughed. That was a really cool antique school. I helped move the bricks for that sign for the school on the corner when it was being built one day while I was kicked out if class, I guess they didn't want me sent home that day. The principal, Mrs. Hougue had a wooden paddle with holes drilled in it with a big sticker on it "I love kids". Hahaha, all true! She used it on me too!
I am 44 years old, a father of two, and I swear I remember this scene and the scene where Jason Robards solemnly gives him the money. Even as a kid I knew it was foolish, but he did is as a father. Holy shit.
I'm a bit older than you and am a mother of four. In the scene where Frank offers to pay off Larry's debts and gives him a job, I just want to reach into the screen, give Larry a good shake and ask, "Don't you realise what your father is doing for you?? Wake up, man!!" Sadly, Larry doesn't realise the huge gift he has been offered. And, worse, Frank knows this but still pays his debt anyway and lets him go do his own thing.
I remember talking about the scene years ago on IMDB when they still had the message boards, and one guy was talking about how he disliked people who essentially play favorites when it comes to their kids. He said if that was my son he wouldn't have bailed him out because a scumbag was a scumbag, and although you, and he may think Robards character was foolish, he was also a father he clearly loved his son in spite of all his faults. That's just the unconditional emotion that parents have for their children. A lot of people tend to say this is what someone else should do, or what I would have done under those circumstances until what is hypothetical becomes a reality. Now, I'm not necessarily saying everyone would do what Frank (Robards) would have done to save Larry, merely that a lot of people can make assumptions about things including what they would do themselves until they're in that position.

_"Downtown Orlando, FL Interstate 4 chase scene."_ Can't be I-4 if it's a toll road. It's probably the 528 Beeline (now the Beachline) or the 408, especially if you have a billboard pointing the way to Ron John Surf Shop, which is in Cocoa Beach and is directly accessible by driving east on the 528 all the way to where it turns into A1A when entering Cocoa Beach.
@Amber Medellin Yes, that could be true since he had to run off to Chile and hide which is why he wasn't with the family here. I'm at least glad that Frank was kind to look after Larry's son Cool which looks very loving at 0:16. Plus, Cool looked very sad when he talked to Frank saying "my dad is leaving right away" with Frank saying "yes" and then Cool asks if his dad is ever coming back with Frank saying "no" and it was loving how he asked Cool if he would like to stay and live in the house with everyone else with Cool saying "yes" but I'm sure was very sad to see his dad gone forever. At least Larry and/or Frank didn't choose to put Cool away in an orphanage even though Frank told him if he's taking Cool with him to Chile with Frank saying that it won't be a good idea for him to come along and got confused with Frank saying that he will take care of Cool.
