@SomeGuysSawShop it will likely still last longer than the next unit you buy. That's just my opinion, though. Stihl makes damn fine equipment that requires little to no maintenance.
@SomeGuysSawShop hmm...that's sus...if you can't take care of your equipment, you should just go buy cheapest one, if you're just gonna throw it away after a couple years. I bought an echo for five dollars at a garage sale 10 years ago and it still rocks out! Also, the stihl that I use for work is more than 15 years old and it's at full throttle for five hours straight, every week! So, really, what are you doing with it? All day everyday, or one day a week?
@@BlakeSpeed a few days a week, but we run it hard, we do a lot of brush cutting with it around our property so none of them last to long. It’s got enough hours where the piston is starting to be so worn out it slaps the cylinder
Finally, somebody talking about a husky 390xp 🤘. Hardly anyone on RU-vid talks about or runs them its alway 372 or 572.. I've never run one, but I am building one from used and new parts. Bought a short block that the crank was trash. Was trying to find a good used oem crank but never could when i was putting the short block together, so i put an NWP crank and a hyway top end. Ill prolly keep searching for a good used oem crank and cylinder for it, but for now, im gonna just put it together.. I did port match the intake and exhaust but may pull the clyinder off and do some lower transfer work. The short block is almost completed. I just need to get a clutch and ignition for it to be a complete short block. I need a good used oem gas tank but they are impossible to find, so I'll have to buy a new one, which isn't cheap . Then i need a clutch cover, starter, top cover, and handle. Hopefully, I'll get it all together soon and run it. Can't wait to see more 390 stuff. Just subscribed to your channel. Oh yeah, have an awesome day, brother!!!
@@SomeGuysSawShop it’s hard to hold back sometimes. I have a 36 foot camper full of fishing gear. I have been posting shorts tackle box videos this month and there is a shorts video of me doing a walk-through of the camper.
That thing will run forever! I’ve worked on a few that are still in people’s houses that are as old as 1908. And I’m west coast. I bet east coast has some that are even older
