Will PPF Maintain help with bug removal on PPF? More specifically, can I apply it generously before a road trip to make it easier to wash bugs off later on? Of course I would also use Gyeon Bug and Grime at the washing step too, but this question is about preparation before the road trip.
@@GYEON_official are there any other Gyeon products that would help this issue if applied in addition to Maintain? I think I should just use Maintain and keep it simple.
Yes, as long as you use it like mentioned on the instructions. I advise to wipe in, wait a minute and rinse or wipe off with Q²M Prep. Don’t let it dwell or dry out. Regards, Y.
Hey! I just got the shampoo but mine is fully brown why so ? Is it ok Plus it's quite thick to the extent that when I shake the bottle It doesn't even bother to move plus I wanted to ask that what is the life of your ceramic detailer ? Like how much time before it expires?
Hi, discolouration can happen with this product but it will not change it’s function. Please use the amount as written on the label. Very little goes a long way. Q²M CeramicDetailer will have a shelf life longer then you will keep your car as long as it’s stored in normal temperatures and hasn’t experienced frost. Regards, Y.
@@GYEON_official also I just saw the production date and it is from 2022 so age is not a problem ? As it will last very long with it's dilution ratio?also it creates almost no foam in 10 litre 5 ml ratio so should I increase the shampoo to 10 ml?
Sure you can. You don’t need a pressure washer when you use Q²M Bathe+ in a bucket and as a shampoo. Mix it with your arm or a garden house and you will be fine. Regards, Y.
@@GYEON_official hey ! Sorry to disturb yet again ! I just wanted to ask that I use your ceramic detailer as a drying but for some reasons it always leaves smearing marks on my hood why so ? Please guide me and tell me how to prevent them?
You probably overuse the product! Try to spray less product, use high quality microfibre towels and make sure you have a fresh towel for a final wipe. Regards, Y.
Hi, 2 towels is too little! You will create your own problems resulting in dragging product around and creating leftover coating spots. For a normal sized car I advise to use a minimum of 2 Q²M Baldwipe towels for levelling and 3 to 4 Q²M PolishWipes for buffing and final wipes. Regards, Y.
An unopened bottle can last up to 12 months if stored in a cool, dark, and dry place. Once the bottle is opened, the shelf life decreases significantly, typically lasting around 6 months under proper storage condition, this means properly sealed with the transportation cap and I suggest to wrap some tape around the cap to avoid air coming in. Store it in a dry, dark and cool place and do not allow to freeze. Regards, Y.
Hi. Today during installtion of Pure Evo i expirienced a lot of lint left on the coated surface. The application was done inside a garage and i followed all the instructions of preparing the the paint and application. The paint was squaky clean, with no dust or lint on it whatsoever before application. I used high quality microfiber towels that were washed and clean. No matter how much i tried to level of the applied coating, the lint would not go away. The coating looks great, and i dont have any highspots, but i can see a huge amount of lint. Its only visible when looking at a certain angle and with strong light. From a distance, you cant see it. Now im worried that the lints will cure together with the coating, and be completetly stuck to the paint. Is this possible? 7 hours into the curing-time, it seems that i can move the lints if touch the panel with my fingertip, so doesnt seem like it is stuck this far. Do you have any recomedation of what i should do? Will i be able to wash away the lint after the coating has cured (14 days) with a contact wash and chemicals? And also, what can i do to avoid this in the future?
Hi, first of all, the lint will not be harmful but this is one of the main reasons why we put so much effort in our microfibre towels. Our Q²M PolishWipe and Q²M Baldwipe are lintfree and are ultrasoon cut to have the best possible experience in your coating application. We also recommend to always use new towels for a coating job. That aside, to remove the lint try the Q²M PolishWipe or Q²M Suede towel to give it a final wipe. Good luck. Regards, Y.
@@GYEON_official Hi again, and thank you for your prompt reply. I am able to wipe of the majority of the lint, but it looks like a considerable amount is still completely stuck to the paint, just like i feared. No amount of wiping seems to remove it. Im planning to wait for the coating to fully cure before i wash the car, so hopefully a contact wash will remove the rest, but i dont have high hopes. Im a little upset, and discouraged at this point. Put in 3 days of work to polish and prep the paint, and now the finish seems to be contaminated:( I really dont want to repolish the whole car.
@@GYEON_official Thanks, i will try this. If a wash does not eliminate the lint, could i do a very quick and light polish and then reaply another layer of Pure Evo? Will the new layer bond to the paint, even if the previous layer is not fully removed?
If coating starts to underperform, a good decontamination and the use of Q²M RestartWash can already make a big difference. As a topper we recommend the use of Q²CanCoat Evo because as a standalone product it can be used on top of every coating. Besides that Q²Skin can’t be purchased separately as it always comes with the Q²Syncro set. Regards, Y.
Great video ! I just wanted to know that if ppf maintain and ppf wash suitable for any kind or brand of ppf ? And plus should we use ppf maintain after every wash. Also is ppf maintain recommended for newly ppfed cars and should for every wash ppf wash should bw used or on intervals between which q2m bathe is used ?
Q²M PPF Wash can be used on every wash of any type of PPF. If you PPF on the car is not coated then the use of Q²M PPF Maintain will be very beneficial to make your PPF slicker and therefore less prone to attracting dirt. It can be used on new or old PPF. Regards, Y.
Is there a list of products you would recommend to have for a newcomer? I have a new car, recently ceramic coated, there’s so many products I don’t know which ones I need and don’t. I was thinking, restart for a monthly decontamination, with Iron and bathe+. Regular wash could I just use Foam and bathe and ceramic detailer? Do I need all those products or is there ones I can just use weekly with no issues
Hi, Great informative video. Would i be able to use the gyeon applicator again if i wash it with towel wash after using it with fabric coat or would i need to throw it away. Thanks
For me it is essential to do at least one stage of polishing. Descent prepwork and a round of polishing is for me mandatory to get the better results. Regards, Y.
@@GYEON_official can I polish with primer by hand? Or does it have to be a machine? And if I can do it by hand what pad or applicator would you recommend? I’d have to then coat on the same day so wait 1 hour after primer and wipe with prep? Thanks so much
@slen6293 by hand is not the way to go. If you are not familiar with machine polishing then I strongly suggest to do a very good decontamination of the car, degrease it thoroughly and make sure no other LSP is on the paint. Even a single stage polish needs to be done properly for not messing up the final coating result. Regards, Y.
Did you do a proper rinse afterwards? Which ceramic coating do you have on the car? A hot wash with Q²M Restart wash might solve your problem. Regards, Y.
You can but I would strongly recommend not to do it. Glossy interior parts and areas that are not reachable will not make your interior look better. We have Q²M Preserve which is a waterbased interior dressing that is easy to use. Regards, Y.
I just applied this coating for the first time, and did it outdoors. I love how easy it was to work with, and how great it looks! However, during installation i encountered some dew spots forming on certain horizontal panels. This occured maybe 10-30 mins after final leveling of the coating. We often get dew formation here in the evenings, so i should have expected this. Now im wondering, has my coating suffered damage from this you think? I decided to not wipe away the moisture in these spots. Some of them had evaporated on their own after 30-120 minutes. When i inspected the car in the morning, all the dew was gone, and i wasnt able to tell a difference between these spots and the paint on the rest the car. Im still concerned the curing of the coating on these spots has been compromised :( What do you think?
Hi, well it’s always better to keep the car dry as long as possible but I understand your situation and all should be fine. This is one of the reasons we recommend to apply a layer of Q²M Cure or Q²M CeramicDetailer before the car goes outside. Did you do this? Regards, Y.
@@GYEON_official Im a little confused by your question. I did the application of Pure Evo and the entire paint prepping procedure outdoors. Before applying the coating i polishshed and used Gyeon panel prep to strip any paint protection the the clearcoat. Isnt this how you are supposed to apply thr coating, to a completely clean surface? Im confused why i should have added Gyen Cure before applying the coating. Isnt that something you put on after the intial application of Pure evo? For me, this wasnt an option, as the problem with the dew occured almost right after application.
Hi, sorry for the misunderstanding, I mean: AFTER the coating application we recommend to add a layer of Q²M Cure to have that extra barrier when the car goes out. In your case it is applied outside but after a minimum 4h you can apply Q²M Cure. I hope this clarifies my answer. Regards, Y.
@@GYEON_official Thanks, that clears up the confusion. I was planning on applying q2m Cure, but unfortunatly, the dew settled on the paint within 15-30 min after application of Pure Evo. At that point i decided not to apply q2m cure.
I am now pre washing my car with Gyeon's Foam at a 4% solution in distilled water @ 60 psi through an Ik 12 pro pump sprayer. The results are great, with perfect foam that does an excellent job of cleaning the car before the contact wash. I use Gyeon's Bathe+ for the contact wash with a final distilled water rinse and a blow dry with an Ego electric leaf blower. My cars black finish has had a two-stage paint correction followed by a jeweling polish and a ceramic coating. It shows every little bit of dirt or scratch or swirl, but I've been able to do the maintenance and decontamination washes without adding any more swirls or marks to the clearcoat. I have to say that the Gyeon products are more than doing their part in helping me to maintain the appearance of the car, which gets looks and compliments from many people who see it. Thanks, Yves, for doing these interesting and informative videos on Gyeon products.
Carclean is the Dutch distributor for GYEON products. GYEON is a global manufacturing company based in South Korea. We have more then 90 distributors worldwide of which Carclean is one of them. Regards, Y.
Hi Gyeon, can you make an equivalent video for summer? How to prep your car for summer. The only one I can see looks more like an advertisement of a collection of products rather than a tutorial on prep & maintenance like this spring one, thanks.
The goal of Q²M QuickDetailer is mainly gloss and slickness. For “protection” in terms of water repellency Q²M CeramicDetailer of Q²M Cure are the products to use. These can last up to 6 weeks when properly applied. Regards, Y.
Hey i wanted to know that for my sofy towels that i use on the paintwork can i soak them in hot water with 20 ml of towel wash instead of using a washing machine
I wanted to know if we can use it without prep? And after wiping off just water the area and dry it? And can your ceramic detailer be used as an alternate for prep please guide
Hey ! I wanted to know that can it be used on non coated or non ppfed cars? Also can it be used after washing and drying the car using ceramic detailer as a drying aid?
@@GYEON_official hello sorry for the inconvenience but could you tell me that is it fine to wax the car by hand. After using the q2m ceramic detailer as a drying aid and if there are specifications of which kind of waxes could be used ?
Most Gyeon products are great, but the shampoo is not my product. I just do not get any foam with Bath products. For shampoos I am using other product.
Q²M Bathe does foam up great just as Q²M Restart, Q²M PPF Wash. The only shampoo that is less foamy because of it’s SiO2 content is Q²M Bathe+. Do you have very hard water in your area? Very strange you can’t make the above foam up. Regards, Y.
