can’t see where to ask question. My family history includes aneurysm. I have MRA with contrast scheduled with small country hospital, then will hopefully send report to Emory in Atlanta. Should I just schedule directly in Atlanta at Emory? Does it matter where I get MRA?
I am a 71y r old female with a 6mm Superior Hypophyseal Artery aneurysm that was discovered when I had a TIA Ischemic stroke that was very brief. There is also a small 2 mm aneurysm. My blood pressure is normal and I don't smoke and never have. I recently underwent a cerebral angiogram that I tolerated well. Was done through femarol artery in Houston at Methodist Hospital.

An the family don't want to take her off the respirator, or she's been there month blood come out of her head 3 weeks surgery to take 1/2of her scull out because of swelling, they say it is deep in her brain they haven't been able to do surgery to fix it her eyes are not reacting an they say there's a range from 3-15 she has been at a3 the whole time she opened her eyes but no response, say her range is at 5 know an they don't look for her to get no higher what's the surviveal rate you think she,ll survive
I did not have headche when my 18mm aneurysm ruptured (PCOM artery). Rather, I was immediately in coma for a month during which I had endovascular coiling. I developed almost all the complication he mentioned. I stayed 3 months in the hospital (the last one was the rehab). I lost the left eye field of both eyes.

I had a raptured aneurysm 3 years ago, during my morning shower Something burst on my upper back head, worst headache I had,I was rushed to the hospital, there Waiting to be attend. by doctors, I keep on vomiting 24 hours past, no water or medicine, I was moved to another hospital, for neurological procedure.36 hours in agony, coiling procedure was performed, the results I had a stroke on my left side of my body . I was not able to walk for sometime, I was not able to work for 2 years. But God is soo good on me, the healing process is so well. Now I’m back to work slowly. My memory was affected.It’s just normal thing according to my doctor,sometimes headache,but manageable. Don’t allow stress,pressure, problem’s to overcome you. I bought the Niekro's 1987 book (I was able to get Phil to sign it in Mile High Stadium in Denver when he was managing the Richmond Braves, unfortunately I never got to meet Mr. Joe Niekro) when they were writing each other that whole season. Just two brothers having fun playing the game they loved . Great read by two classy guys.

I cannot believe this only has 72 likes. I grew up watching him living close to Houston. Especially liked when he was pitching against Phil. More wins for the stros than even Nolan Ryan. Another of my childhood hereos. RIP. My mother had an aneurism in the brain. She lived several years in a nursing home. But it was a horrible quality of life. It was a relief when she passed.
I have a 10cm deep inoperable AVM found it 4 yrs ago from a bleed ,and seizure,, had symptoms for a while before the grandmal seizures started,,I've recently weaned off the meds, I believe Stress and lack of sleep caused the bleed... what caused the bleed??? Thanks 🙏
My condolences to you on the death of your uncle Hall of Farmer Phil. I have heard he did his best to help raise Joes children. Perhaps he was a hall of fame uncle as well. After Joes death Phil always spoke that Joe was as good of a brother he could have.

This information has really helped me. I have an unuptured anuerysm, pending surgery in 7 days. I got tired of worrying about whether the anuerysm would rupture. Had pains in my head in the middle of the night, which was very scary. This has gone in for almost 8 months now
