With due respect, I'd like to submit that the definition of discrete variables is wrong. A discrete variable may also assume infinite number of values. And it may also assume fractional values. But it can only assume values at fixed intervals. For example X =1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, ... is a discrete variable as it is assuming values at intervals of 0.5. But it cannot assume a value between, say, 1 and 1.5 or 1.5 and 2, etc. And this series can go on till infinty

Sir i have a doubt : on day 1 let weight of aquarium = x grams then we added 100gm of food inside the aquarium containing fishes => the current weight = (x+100) grams don't you think after 7 days even if fishes have gained some weight, the weight of the aquarium remains the same i.e ( x+100) because all the process are going on inside the same system.( like if I am gaining some weight it doesn't affect the weight of earth )
