I've been playing paintball for 18 years now. During that time I've played recreationally, in a college league, a national league, and some regional leagues. Paintball has been a huge part of my life, and now so is being a dad. I've noticed a lot of young dads at my local paintball fields and tournaments and it seems to me like there's a growing trend of families getting involved in paintball, just as with mainstream sports. I want to document this part of my life as I navigate through fatherhood and paintball. I'll be uploading videos of recreational game play, tournament play, product review, paintball advice, dad advice, and of course some videos of my kids trying to get involved in the paintball world as well.

This is awesome I play a local field in Charleston sc with my son (11) hoping to get some speedball play but it’s not a walk on field. Have to be on a team to rent it out. Looking to try rock hill and other fields in Darlington. Keep up the good work
I recommend palmetto hills. This weekend will be a great weekend cuz most teams will be in NC for a tournament. So the local speedball fields will be pretty quiet. The field in Darlington is Twisted Paintball. It's more of a private field that's run by the local team out of that area. It's good if you have a party and want to rent it out. But if not then you should reach out to them and ask if they'll be there on the same weekend you want to go visit.
This requires some explaining. Rifles are much less practical to switch hands with since the ejection port is only designed to eject the spent casing out in one direction and the magazine release button is also specific to either a right or left hand user.

Great video! Just a slight suggestion, use mono audio for voice overs instead of stereo as the audio had a heavier bias to the right compared to the left.
@toasty8547 I'll try that. Although I'm not sure how much of that is influenced by the quality of my phone. I use me phone to record my voice. I'm hoping to get a better quality phone in a few months.
Dang I wish there were more players like you in my area. I had a group of 6 that were all new to the sport and the refs put rentals vs pretty much a tournament team with no rental guns. We got destroyed and they never want to come back 🙃

I've played speedball twice now, first time was last weekend and my friends and I got absolutely dumpstered all night by a few teams with coaches there. We played about 11 matches and managed to score a single point. I went again to another field yesterday with a different group that was way more casual, no teams just random walk ons and it was so much more fun. Was able to try out different routes and not just get destroyed right off the break.
my local field has some people dripped out in JT Clear bottoms, enemy of the state jerseys, limited hormesis headbands, project markers. And they’ve never stepped foot on airball and refuse to even play 1 point with the few of us that play airball. 😢
I used to go to and work at a bible camp that runs a few paintball camps. A lot of the staffers were ex tournament players and we'd get the kids to play speedball and even run a training day to teach them bunker names, how to hold your gun, snapping, bunkering, basic paintball terms, run and gun, and a lot of basics on how to play certain positions. We even used to run a tournament day. It was amazing. I was hoping to go back and staff there again but work stuff as always lol.
I wish PBC Greensboro had more speedball fields. I feel like if rentals/ mech players could regularly play airball, they would come back more often. More games in a day would help more people justify the cost of playing for the day too IMO. I've had this thought for a while.
I play division 4, and I don't recommend keeping any distance from the bunker. Make sure you bunker yourself in a place. But he is right. Never put you back against a bunker
