Have you been to the Sporades islands? I want to visit Skiathos-Skopelos-Alonissos next time, they seem very different to the Cyclades, maybe similar to the Ionian islands.

TOURISTS LOOK ALSO THE GREEK FILOXENIA AND I MUST SAY THAT CRETE IS FULL OF FOREIGNERS AND SPECIALLY FRENCH PEOPLE THAT LIVE OVERTHERE. SO I WOULDN'T RATE CRETE AS THE BEST ISLAND. IT IS YOUR PERSONAL CHOICE ! CRETE FEELS LIKE YOU ARE LIVING IN ATHENS AS IT IS VERY CROWDED!
Honestly, my experience after 11 years is quite different. There are some foreigners who live here, especially in Apokoronas, but i never met them elsewhere or felt like they are taking over. What you describe about living in Athens, sounds to me like the center of Heraklio and Chania. Places that i rarely visit so i take your word for it. 99% of the time i am far from the big cities. :)
I love your video! Me and my husband are planning to visit Crete next month. Do you have any suggestions in regards where to stay? hotel that provides all inclusive service will be appreciated.

We went by boat a vew weeks ago. There was to much wind to get ashore. It was a big boat 30 euros pp. To far to swim to the beach an waves. Those people knew thet tjis would happen and didnt tell us. Fucking around with a small boat and then we were aloud to swim. I am still mad about this. Rented a car to to the harbor for the boat. So wast of money.

DEAR GREEK GUY , thank you , but you forgot a few which are no too much over run by tourists , CASTELORIZO , which is where my YAYA'S AND BUPO'S come from and KYTHERA , and yes Crete is amazing , your right there .
Anyone who is going to Greece. Here is my advice. Land in Athens, take the train from the airport to Athens. Spend 3 days in Athens, unwind and do all the touristy things. Then get the next plane out of Athens and head straight to Crete. Crete will not disappoint. It has everything and more than all the other islands have. Well that's my opinion.
