What makes the Ferrari so "super" 17+ year old technology that now a days the common 1LE can run give this thing a run for its money if not outpace it.
Mike do you feel that the 360 now that you own it that it seems more of a hassle than anything else. Asking because I own a 348ts and with the engine out every 5 yrs for service. Or do you just like it
Maintenance of my BMW costs about the same as for my 360 Modena, however depreciation on the Beemer is dramatic and nihil on the 360. Own mine since 2010, bought it in Italy and love it every day. My previous Ferrari's (Dino an 308) were totally beautiful but crap, 355 was no go area for me because the engine has to be removed every 3 yrs to change the belts, so you lose the first 5000 euro without anything happening to it. In the 360 it's a simple repair. 360 is the wise choice for an entry in supercar league. In the suburb where i live (50.000 inh), mine is the only Ferrari, with Porsches well not so few, to put it mildly. At the ministry where i hopped along for decades i could park it on the spot reserved for the secretary himself, his chauffeur looking for another place to park without me being fired, and the secretary asking for a spin. It's pronounced MOD-DENA Spelt Modena. Italian words are said the way Italian's pronounce them. This is the city where Maranello is situated. The cities colour is yellow...thus the Ferrari badge. Nice car, must be a lot of fun.

I think the costs of the dreaded 3-5 years "engine out" service is what keeps most buyers away in purchasing a Ferrari or perhaps any mid-engine supercar. You need to change a whole bunch of parts while the engine is taken out of the car. Parts and labor ain't cheap. ☹ On the upside though, if the car's market price appreciates in the next couple of years (especially if it was a gated manual transmission), then all ownership costs are even more beneficial in adding value.
Starting with the 360 and continuing with all the cars after, the engine out service is no longer required. In the 360 the panels behind the seat come out allowing access to the belts.
You are so right about women not giving a shit about these cars. I’ve had a 92 yellow 348 in beautiful condition for 16 years. I was in the dealership looking at a 458 that happened to be yellow. I told the salesman that I could literally buy this and swap it out for the old 348, put it in the garage when my wife isn’t looking, and she’d never know the difference. She might, however, wonder what happened to a couple hundred grand.

i bet if it was red the ladies would know what it is there nice cars but not worth the cost of fixing them they are cheaply built what car needs a clutch after only 20,000 miles? my porsche 911 i owned 5 years 50,000 klms i put on it and my clutch was perfect Ferrari is made to drive 500 miles a year sip it like a fine wine but mostly stare at it in the garage
The major service cost (less clutch) was only about $500 more than that required for my 1999 Audi some years ago. If it's good for 3-5 years that not out of line with many high end cars. When one figures the total bill with clutch it's still in the league of new Corvette depreciation Especially over a three year period. One should be aware this high strung car isn't going to be a stop light drag king. But beyond that it strikes me as quite an exceptional car. Lastly, Mike Moorman is 40 years old, owns his own business, obviously fit, no wife, no kids, with money to spend. To all the feminists, divorcing wives, their lackey lop-sided divorce courts, and the general narrative regarding men today (#MeToo, #TimesUp, women's marches, claimed toxic masculinity, etc.), a man's generosity is optional and Mr. Moorman is one of a notable growing population of men refusing to commit. Think about it ladies, are you sure you want to keep hating on men?
Mike thank you for posting this. I have been searching high and low for pre-game footage. Do you happen to have the rest of the pre-game that would include script Ohio? There is only one other video that includes script Ohio but I have not seen one that is seemless from start to finish. Thank you in advance.
$8400 for a clutch?! They either got majorly ripped off or other work was done. A new clutch in this car should maybe...maybe be half of that...and that's if the mechanic doesn't like you.
Thanks for a good info on the 360. I just made a offer on a 2001 360 Modena F1 coupe. 18k miles ,2nd owner with every paper work. I can get it for $71.500, What u think ? Good deal?
How's ground clearance? I've heard it's so low that just pulling into some driveways is actually impossible. Is that true? Does it ride any rougher than a Corvette? Does it feel about as fast as your Corvette?
