Welcome to Seaweed Brain: A Percy Jackson Podcast where we discuss, overanalyze, and generally fangirl about each Percy Jackson book, with the ultimate goal of de-glorifying Western Civilization and answering the question, is Percabeth the greatest love story ever told?

I like to listen to people's journey on making their dreams come true! I love reading, watching movies, tv shows, etc. I really appreciate all of the hard work that people behind the scenes do. We all sit down and watch the amazing job the actors and actresses do on screen, and all of the amazing acting has to do with the writing the writers create, and adapt (from original stories or books). The amazing camera work the directors, editors, etc. do. We read books and enjoy the journey we go on with the characters, and I appreciate the work that editors do, etc. I love to read children, YA, books no matter how old I get. There are stories for everyone and that's the amazing part of reading, watching TV and movies. It doesn't matter when people read, watch the show or movie, it'll always be there no matter how old we get. We get to discuss for fun and it has lessons people can talk about with friends, etc. 😀
Oh my goshhh... another song that would be perfect for the Percabeth playlist is Ocean Eyes by Billie Eilish😆and remember Walker has blue eyes which would fit perfectly for the song
Even in books and animated shows, I can always tell. When I was reading pjo, and annabeth came, and she was like, “you drool when you sleep” I was like, ok, this is my fav ship. Bc I could sense that they would end up together. Same with lots of other things, I used to get it wrong a lot, like in wings of fire, I shipped clay with every female character for like one page, then switched. But in avatar, I could tell, the look on his face when he sees katara is like, wow, this girl is really pretty. And the wind in her hair and stuff, it was really obvious
I love how you and Andrew reinforce that these kids were perfectly cast. I loved hearing what I and others have noticed on how this cast supports each other because of their kind hearts. I loved hearing how Andrew works to help Actors tap into their characters and how collaborative everyone is
Oh my goodness!! I'm gagged!! Coach Andrew is truly a treasure and must be protected at all costs! The way he talked about stories and characters and acting made me feel like I'm falling in love all over again with the art of storytelling in tv and movies. Seriously, I learned so much from him in this hour! The young trio are so lucky to have him and I'm so excited that he's already given them homework for season two! Thank you guys for the awesome interview! 💙
I enjoy listening to the podcast and it's so interesting to hear how adaption works from someone who works in the industry as a writer. I agree with what Micah Johnson-Levy said that the adaption can't be 100% translated to screen, it has to change and it can still tell the story. I also agree that is awesome that they had someone who is actually disabled playing the god Hephaestus. I believe everyone deserves a chance to act and do what people are interested to do. Yes being an actor means to portray the character and a lot of amazing actors/actresses do a fantastic job, but I am for disabled people to act for disabled character, let them audition and give them a chance to demonstrate their skills. etc. Like every other actors/actresses might not get the role they want, but at least they audition and it opens the door for other people and it's making a change. Everyone should learn and get to know each other and not judge or bully anyone.
It's so awesome to hear the opinions of people who have read the series, and people who have not read the series talk about the adaption of the tv series. I grew up reading the series and I love it! I also love the tv adaption and I'm super excited for season 2! Hopefully we get the adaption of the PJO series, HOO series and all of other Rick's book. It would be so cool to see what they add, extend scenes and alternate scenes from the book. It's been 20 years I think since Rick wrote PJO, so it's awesome to see what new ideas he plans to add or had originally and didn't add it to the books at the time.
