Rings into Clouds seems like it should be a cliche at this point, but you've made something here that sounds truly fresh and wonderful. It sounds like you're using Clouds in delay mode?
thanks so much. Yeah I know what you mean about the overuse of the 2 modules. I feel that it has a timeless sound to it and the patch points alone means that there are 100's of different ways to patch up Marbles, rings and clouds. I feel like I'm still scratching the surface tbh
ah this was beautiful, I loved that hypnotic arpeggio drifting in and out through it all. On the one side I have Andrew Tasselmyer persuading fuelling my quest for minimalism and on the other your videos making small eurorack setups seem so compelling :) I wonder who will win?
Thank you 🙏 Glad you enjoyed it. I suspect that Andrew has a hidden Eurorack case that he occasionally brings out from his closet where he samples a stack of VCO's onto his iPad lol
Once again, a great patch. The combination of tried and tested modules (Rings, Clouds, etc.) with high-quality other modules shows once again that in Modular Ambient, often little is needed to create great beautiful things. Thank you very much for your videos. They constantly bring me new ideas or positively develop my own. Greetings from Germany, Phil ✌️🥰
Thank you 🙏Honestly, I just love these modules that are in the case at the moment. There's a few that will be rotated from time to time since there are other favs that need to be used occasionally. The Morphagene sample consists of some notes from the Korg Minilogue XD
@@star.trails is it on a table or on the floor? could be good to have a series of videos playing synths on the floor. Nothing new, but I'll take the idea! :D
@@star.trails Certainly, putting the equipment on the floor offers ‘new cinematic angles’ and challenges conventional norms… but if you actually want to play from there, your back also gets challenged. I know from experience: two weeks ago, you know that I uploaded one of that kind…and it turned out great… but the best part was the gin and tonic with a friend afterward, while I tried to remember how to walk upright 🤣
Cheers! Pleased you're feeling it. Your last patch actually inspired me to make this. I needed some extra voices and random sounds and Arbhar/Morph are great for this.
increase the parameter 72 ' gate offset ' in the multi sample mode from 0 to 200 to get rid of the glittches. unfortunately audible in this patch. you need a better sd card for the ex as well if you use the factory sd card. regardless beautiful piece.
Thanks and all great advice from you, however, the glitches are intended. They are coming from several fast (ish) stepped random voltages from Pam’s pro workout modulating the morpagene audio signals going through Veils. I also passed audio through these attenuated points when recording the loops into the disting EX. Disting is behaving normally here without any glitches and I did replace the sd card early on due to unwanted glitches which resolved that issue
what a beautiful shot my friend! .. Lately I've been getting a lot of use out of DistingEX too... it's an exceptional module. Beautiful music as always my friend
