Also, since Thatcher, the neo-liberal politics of people like Truss (obvious example, because she showed us her politics), has been to REDUCE PUBLIC SPENDING. It is their reason for living, their entire politics. They want to reduce spending on schools, teachers rights, pensions, pay. Nurses, rights, pensions, pay; Pharmacists rights, pensions, pay. FE, HE, Professors: rights pensions, pay. Solicitors, rights, pensions, pay. They hope to force us to move to private organisations, so we can try to get better conditions, but that will be at your, yes YOUR individual cost (like in America). We cannot continue, as a nation to cut-back on public tax investment in public services and expect conditions to improve. We will just have to look at our infrastructure continuing to deteriorate. Wonder why everyone is on strike? It's because of Tory neo-liberal politics, they do not want to continue to tax people so that we can all benefit from a welfare state, where there are free schools, free medical care, communities where lighting and bin collection exists. If you vote neo-liberal, you vote for your council going bust (no funding from government). You vote for less police who have poor pay and conditions (Inspector says we won't win so we can't arrest / prosecute OMG!!!!).
