So where did you find the parameters for changing in hp tuners? I have been searching as I’m in fl and need them to cut on when the ac pressures cut on.
Thanks for making this video. The two wires that go into the PCM have the male/female in between. If I didn’t grab the whole connector and only the female end attached to the fan harness, can I delete the plug and it be fine?
Awesome video. Helped a lot. Some sellers have the complete fuse box w/ fuses, relays, and pre-wired for under $30 now. Just have to tweak the connections slightly.
Have a very similar truck 😂. You can see it in my channel. Currently LS swapping. Glad to see I don’t have to get a $ 700 kit. Do you think this could be done without taking the bed off ?
My opinion, don't think its a gas issue, now that you got it fixed. Even though the starter turns over the car. I would still say the tiny solenoid on the starter is not sending 12 volts to the coil. I would say replace the starter and solenoid.. This car could have been in flood and shorted or corrodoed the solenoid.
Id invest more on the 300 dl one and work the paperwork out! That car is worth more than that 83 in addition no you cannot use that digital dash on the 83 and if you did you would have an extreme alot of wiring to do which is not worth it on the 83. I use to have a 1988 GTA digital and i was getting alot of 👍's up. Just my oponion buddy! 😎
NIce! I have room under the hood for the truck intake, and I don't wanna spend money when the truck intake flows so well. Saving money and having a sweet looking intake to boot is a win.
Could this process be used to relocate the throttle body horizontally to the top of an intake manifold, then use a round aircleaner to mimic a carburetor engine?
I’m sure it’s possible, these intakes already sit high as it is though. I wouldn’t recommend it, seems like a lot of work and then getting a throttle body to work correctly in that orientation would also be tricky.
@@Lsxtransam83 Thankyou. It will be in a 33Ford engine bay so plenty of room above the manifold. I see plenty of carby intake manifolds for the LS but no Efi that enable the use of an original throttle body on top where a carby would normally sit. I'm restricted for space at the front as I am using the stock firewall.
Damn they are both nice. Ditch the spoiler and get the low rise 84 firebird spoiler. Deff keep that dash, those things are so hard to find. Scrap the body after stripping and make back that 3 hundy easy. Nice find.
Not why you think the solder didn’t go through. You can see the solder go through all the wires, that’s why I heat from the bottom. So it’s not an issue, I only use flux if it’s thicker gauge.
Im going to be doing this mod to my 04 avalanche in the next few weeks. I'm thinking about purchasing HP tuners and tuning the PCM myself. My question is with HP tuners can I tune the PCM for my gears and tire size as well?
I’m using a truck Ls engine in my 56 Chevy. I want to shave my intake but I’m not sure what all I need to keep when shaving it. What do I need to keep and what can I relocate?
Good Ma, keep it as stock as you can. I have a 84 TA got all the pollution controls on OE paint. It’s staying that way. As it was born. These cars are are starting to come up. And all those hacked up mods and swaps are going to kill the value.
What transmission crossmember did you use? I'm doing the same build in a 89 Camaro and trying to figure out the cheapest route to mount 4L60 and keep the stock torque arm
@@Lsxtransam83 so you got the transmission crossmember and adjustable torque arm or do they have one that allows for the stock torque arm? I have been looking and cant find one that does both lol. It's either just a crossmember and then you need a tunel mounted adjustable torque arm or it's the trans member with adjustable. Really appreciate your help!
@@teabag402 I bought the kit with the mount and new torque arm. They sell just a transmission mount but I don’t know how the stock torque arm will mount. SKU # LS14L60EXM
I want to put my 5.3 out of my 2000 GMC Sierra into my 1989 GTA trans am. Are there any videos to show or tell me what all I have to do or change in order to do this?
