same as the one that I have.also got the number 31 car.just need the 2 and 5 cars.iv also got a real one that is the same built up to be a touring car works replica.
I had an RCG 20cc Gas engine, Sullivan smoke pump, one tank for gas, one tank for smoke oil, ignition battery and receiver battery in a Christen Eagle 90 like this one but it got way to heavy. 6,2kg take off weight. It produced good smoke but it flew very badly. The plane in this video is a new model With O.S. MAX120AX glow engine and no smoke system. About 4.5 kg take off weight now and it flies great. I think for smoke system a bigger Christen Eagle is better or if you use a crank case preassure smoke system and no smoke pump you might save some weight.
I have fitted new original metalastic type bushes now and they are pretty hard to. The Polyflex bushes on the lower control arm was worn out after just 30000 km or about 19000 miles
Dhayes48 I'm using Hitec 645MG on all surfaces and the battery is a Ni-Mh C-cell 6V 3300mAh.You can use smaller servos and batteries in this model to, the manual says at least 3,9 kg servos and the 645MG is 9,6 kg at 6V. I use this battery because it is a bit heavy, it help me get the CG right.I have the same servos in other planes with 6V 2000mAh battery with no problems, you just have to charge them more often.
It has been a reliable engine. Deadsticks isn't a problem if you don't lean it out to much on the needle valve and change the glowplug occasionally, but that's the same with any glow engine. I do prefere O.S. engines in my planes but I just wantet to try this engine.
I bought one of these (used, and w/o engine) over 20 years ago. I'm just now getting around to getting it in the air. Found an older NIB Super Tigre 45 ABC made in Italy. I'm hoping the 45 will do the trick; seeing yours I think I'll be OK. My first choice would have been a .50 but I did not feel like changing out existing motor mount. Nice plane and nice flying! Enjoy
Rick Koshak I bought this one used as a restauration Project. I had to do the covering and fit the retracts. (It had fixed under carrige before), Mount the Electronics and build a new slightly bigger front end on it so it would fit the spinner for its 10X9" prop. The O.S.55AX was a bit to long to fit as well. The jet nossle at the back is made from 0,8mm plywood and the ejection seat from balsa. I have the battery mounted under the servos to get the CG right.
I use 6V ni mh hump pack but any 4.8-6 V pack that fits on the car will be fine. You can also use two cells li fe or li po if Your servos and receiver can handle the voltage.
Hello Ariel, I bought the same Landmax (with a Escort WRC body) the car was stay abandoned long time for that reason the parts like the batery pack are missing, what kind of batery pack you use. Thanks and sorry for my bad english
I guess it´s no hell difference but it´s a bit hard to tell exactly how much firmer it got after changing them since the stock bushes was worn. What I do know is that the car feels nice on the road.Firm but not to hard.I think the XKR with the super sport suspension upgrade works great with the purple bushes.I use my XKR as my everyday car exept from the winterseason and my car got the 20"BBS wheels.I think it´s just right now,I think even harder bushes would be worse on Norwegian road standard.
I do not know which are the toughest of the Powerflex but all the bushes in this kit are purple except from two large yellow bushes at the rear where the rear suspension are mounted to the chassi.
