I used to vacation in Destin in the late 80s as a kid with my family. There was not much there. Sandestin Resort and a few small hotels. I drove through in 2022 and did not recognize it. It was a wall to wall zoo. Ruined. Thats too bad.
Yes, they have overbuilt and ruined the beautiful, natural beaches that we used to go to get away from the overbuilt Panama city beaches. It's all about money and greed. Nowhere for locals to enjoy the places we loved in the 60s and 70s.
