this song is so beautiful,definitely should’ve been on Decemberunderground ,the reason I could see why miss murder was chosen instead was because it was more catchy and mainstream, this is more emotional and real,made for true AFI fans 🖤
IceCoast36, I'm relatively sure you're not Davey. Where would he be in that feature? In the intro? And would he do more than vocals? Can you hear that (clearly)? The band sounds much like one I've been in long before and I liked it musically, but there were other problems, issues, more than just differences. Musically, I can enjoy such music, still, though. And this song is better, in my opinion, than most (very many in a very short time span) the band I've been in had. Davey really could have shown up, though. All of AFI, especially when they were in the same country, anyway. Back then, I got different goths from Cali to support live and also didn't complain about that. And when they let some Russian adult musicians reach me and the other adult guys from Cali, Davey Havok would probably also not have been a bigger danger to me. I desired drugfree others, musicians. I'm trying not to endanger or lose my clean vocals, but when I'm screaming, sometimes I can do that in ways I like, sometimes surprise myself with how I can sound and I just imagine it wouldn't work with someone touching me. Before and afterwards, I can picture myself holding hands somehow, or hugging (and it's probably not absolutely impossible that I would cuddle) but not when wanting and having to (a need) scream and shout it all out. Not that one. Davey's hair is looking very good in this and that or the hawked version are great for him to wear and sadly not fitting my face at all. Jade, don't ever do this again. Other styles suit you so much better.
More interesting to me than many fully released BA songs. Do you think lights can kill themselves? What do you mean with "kill the lights" in a couple of your lyrics? When I was in studio last time 2014/15, there was a total electricity blackout, candles went out, too and I got blamed, as the singer in the booth, just singing a song I had written long before, actually glad to finally get to record and release it, with hopes it would all just kind of professionally work. I'm the "DEMON!", you know. Then, my work got destroyed. My arts... my music... songs I have completely written myself. It's a great song, well written and performed, still. I don't like the visual arts from this band, their visual contents (I don't mean they themselves would look bad), but the colors here are of my taste, too. In general, I often don't share Davey Havok's taste in other music. People somehow expect me to be exactly like him and at the same time also like Brian Molko and Ville Valo and perhaps some Lauriiiiii. And they all got so much as feminine singers with their bands when back then I had full songs ready, could write, play, sing, everything and wanted my career as singer with band. Its a much better song than Miss Murder, but not as catchy, so I get why Interscope told him to keep it in. No way is this gonna be a chart topper, but its a delicious riff and beat altogether.

So, I have a folder on my pc with all tracks from DU. What I did is I removed Miss Murder from there and put this beauty instead. I listened to the whole thing. Now DU is my favourite completely and absolutely.
Wish this song had made the album. I love Decemberunderground as it is it’s my favorite album but I’ll be honest I think the album would’ve been better if you replace Miss Murder with Carcinogen Crush and put View From Here as the final song but leave the rest of the songs the same but that’s just my opinion.
The song is pretty cool and very experimental for its time but I agree with their label Miss murder is 100x better! It's one of the best songs of the 2000s It has the perfect fusion between emo, pop punk, post hardcore and mainstream rock It's quintessentially one of the most 2000s sounding song you could find yet it doesn't feel dated I guarantee you if one of these emo rap kids sampled it or covered it it would at least peak in the top 10
