Hi there, you would need to get in contact with Geo Knight directly alternatively the brass bushes can be purchased directly from our website: gjs.co/supplies/p4255/dk-brass-bush-replacement-kit
Hi there, unfortunately the BN2-20 will not be suitable for this but the Roland DG MG-300 is: gjs.co/equipment/new/p4707/roland-dg-truevis-mg-series-printer-cutter and its also available as a used demo model: gjs.co/equipment/used/
Hi GJS, I'm having all sorts of issues getting this to work as the print just breaks when trying to apply it to the object. Have a LEF2-300 Using Roland ECO UV 4 Ink, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Purchased A4 UV DTF Transfer film from. you guys and have the laminator set at 90 degrees.
Hi Alistair, sorry to hear that you are having issues getting it to work, we're here to help. Can you please take a few pictures of the broken/torn transfers and send them through to our Support Team via: help@gjs.co and one of the team will get back to you as soon as they can.
Hi there, we currently do not stock this heat press anymore. But we have a similar heat press: gjs.co/equipment/new/p4365/gjs-ec100-mug-heat-transfer-press. Pricing can be found through link.
Do you have to use varnish with this process? Also, I know that soft ink isn't so good - I have semi-soft which doesn't deform so much (printing on PE backing lifts nicely) would this be firm enough? thanks!
Hi there, yes you do need to varnish over the top for UV DTF prints to work. With regards to soft or semi soft ink it's something you would need to test out and see which provides the best results. Hope this helps.
Durability of the end product will relate directly to the type of media that you are using. For example sign vinyl will inherently be more durable to weather and UV as it is designed to be used outdoors. Heat transfer vinyl has it's own water-fastness, depending again on the chosen vinyl and fabric that it is applied to. We'd recommend checking the specifications of any self-adhesive media that you are using prior to application.
Hello, i am about to buy an UV printer but iam confused about going with DTF UV printer or flatbed uv printer, does any flatbed uv printer print on A film?
Hi there, more information about all our UV printers can be found here: gjs.co/equipment/new/c244/uv-printers. Yes, you can print on film using a flatbed UV printer but for best practise a test should be done first. Also, rigid UV ink will need to be used when printing on film. We currently only stock A4 and A3 size film at the moment so it will be limited to those sizes.
Hi there, the heat press is called the GJS EC400 mug transfer press, and the latest version of the printer is called the Sawgrass SG500 dye sublimation printer.
Hi there, if you live in Australia, New Zealand or the Pacific Islands please get in contact with our GJS sales engineers on 1800 457 888 and they will be happy to assist you.
Hi there, it uses the ECO-SOL MAX 2 ink. White ink is only used when printing to clear media for decals that might be applied to glass. Picture a nail polish bottle that has a clear decal so you can see the contents but also has the branding and instruction. White ink contains heavy solids unlike the other inks so maintenance is crucial to keeping the head in good order. Nozzle checks are of course difficult to see when printing to white media so you have to load a piece of clear to perform nozzle checks. Due to the nature of the ink when it is loaded the printer will do more maintenance than it would should white not be loaded. For this reason you will find you ink levels lower quicker.
Hello, My son just took delivery of one of these machines. The fumes are rather strong and we wonder if this is a health risk? Does the unit have a vent port for connecting a duct to vent out the fumes?
Hi there, assuming that you are not in Australia so we’d recommend that you get in touch with the dealer that you purchased the BD-8 from. These printers feature a built-in fume extractor, and are GREENGUARD Gold Certified which means they meet the world’s most stringent and comprehensive standard for low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into indoor air.
yup make a video and skip the whole process of setting up the files first, If someone has never done this which is what I assume this video is for. You missed the steps to get the file together in order from color to white and the program to do that.......
That's why we clearly note at the beginning of the video that preparation of the artwork "will vary depending on which DTG printer you are using." With several DTG printers capable of printing DTF on the market, it would be impossible to include instructions for all models in this short video. All instructions needed to prepare artwork as part of this process is available to GJS customers via our extensive knowledge base which can be found at: help.gjs.co
Hi there, its the Sefa large format pneumatic heat transfer press gjs.co/equipment/new/p4130/sefa-subli-series-large-format-pneumatic-heat-transfer-presses
The heat press used in this video is a Sefa large format pneumatic, double drawer heat transfer press. You can read more about it here: gjs.co/equipment/new/p4130/sefa-subli-series-large-format-pneumatic-heat-transfer-presses
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work with the flex ink. The ink stretches and breaks during the separation process. It requires a rigid UV ink to achieve the best results.
What is the cost of the print pre Unit this printer uses for printing of a A0 size paper and ink could you please say and how long does it take pre poster to print using this printer please I am very interested but need to know more info and thanks for your replies
@@cryptofinders6377 The max print width is between 460mm-470mm, so it can’t print to A0 size in one print. A full size print up to 1m long will take between 15-35 minutes depending on the print settings. Hope this helps.
Hi@@cryptofinders6377 this really depends on a number of factors, including the artwork that is being printed, the print mode selected, the media being uses and if it's print only or print and cut. Sorry we can't be more specific in this instance.
incomplete video!!!! - no information on starting or ending temperature, no information on how long to press the image.... but i wont give you a thumbs down because of that. you made the effort to show this much at least.
Hi there Simon, we never discuss time, temperature or pressure settings in any of our videos on purpose as all these settings are influenced by the type of press used, the individual substrate, and the type of paper. There can be huge variances between these settings depending on the heat press used alone. All these settings are available freely to GJS customers via our extensive knowledge base, which can be found at: help.gjs.co For viewers who are not GJS customers, our guidance is always to contact the supplier of your blank products for the exact time, temperature and pressure settings required to achieve the best results with the chosen product(s). For your information, we create these particular subby coolers using medium pressure, in a press set at 200-degress for 45-60 seconds. Hope this helps explain the logic behind our approach.
Hi There. Thanks for your recommendation, I purchased BN2-20A. It's been working great and I see a lot of potential. I have a quick question. Is there a way to adjust header off set amount when printing? The print always starts 3inches offset from the top and I feel it's a lot of waste. Thanks!
Unfortunately, there is no way to decrease this amount, the length is set by the sensor and is in place to protect the print head from hitting the edge of the vinyl.
Got it. Thanks for the reply! Got one more question. Is there kiss cut and die cut settings I can download for different mediums? I'm trying various mediums such as removable and transparent. It's hard to take out stickers. Best.@@GJSAustralia
@@gilryongsong The ‘Die cut’ option is called ‘Perf cut’ on these printers, it is added during the artwork preparation same as the kiss cut line. There will be multiple videos you can watch if you search for ‘Roland Perf Cut settings’. They should be able to help you through it. If you are a GJS customer, and are still having trouble with getting it right, feel free to reach out to our support team. Otherwise, the supplier or dealer you purchased the machine from should be able to provide you with some assistance.
Hi there, I have a question about using a UV printer on a Ripstop Fabric which has a water repelant feature and some of them are coated with a silicon material. is that doable ? thanks
If this is for a wearable apparel, it would be better to print with a direct-to-garment printer, as UV DTF is better suitable for hard surface materials. Although it is still possible to print on textiles, you would need to conduct your own tests or contact your local supplier to do a sample. If you're in Australia, contact our sales team at sales@gjs.co and they'll be able to test it out for you.
