I'm having a lot of trouble in this plane. The performance is too good for its own airframe. It's scary to go above 700 in this thing otherwise you risk snapping your wings. You can't even pull out from a dive sometimes because your wings will snap off above 9 Gs. I had high hopes for this plane but I guess I'll just stick to the mk 3
Awesome is an overstatement of the century, you can't turn fight, lest your wings snap, even though the Meteor is best at turnfighting, you can't pull up from a boom and zoom, lest your wings snap, I cannot find the good in this plane, it is an absolute pile of shit. Granted I don't have it fully upgraded, but if it still performs the same, the I think Gaijin need to fix it's BR as right now I'm getting uptiered into impossible 8.3 battles.
Most of my argument is already covered in the description. Granted I havent played at this BR for a couple of months now so I do not know the exact matchmaking it faces, though I imagine it is fairly similar to what I experienced. If your wings keep snapping you're pushing the plane too hard, its an excellent turnfighter, the energy retention, acceleration and climb are all also very nice. The box arrangement of the cannons and the amount of rounds are also both very nice (even though I think the Hispano is among the worse 20mm cannons in the game). Lastly I would just add that judging a plane before you have most of the performance modifications is not sound.
I've begun grinding the yak jet line bc i just can't deal with the nonexistent roll of the mig 15s and I'm wondering how the yak 23 and 30's are and if they're worth it and the higher than usual rep costs
Both the 23 and the 30 are really strong in my opinion, though I haven't tried the 23 since new power dropped. I should also mention that I found the mig 15 quite good despite the poor roll (though again I haven't played the bis since new power dropped. I imagine harriers make your job quite a bit harder).
