Loved going back in time!! I was born in '74 so the 80s/90s is my jam too!! Sometimes I feel I'm so much older than most watchers, so this felt GOOD!!!! sending you well wishes and positive vibes!!! <3
Please don't think you need to apologize! As someone who has been divorced (a long time ago) and widowed (almost 2 years ago), it's sooooo much to process, so many things change- whether you want them to or not, whether they're good changes or not- and however you need to process and get through things is whatever it needs to be! I hope opening the older packages brings you joy and makes good memories- and, I am here to tell you, time really does help. I know it's hard to think about the future, but, at least for me, things have gotten so much better and I am living a great life, and I hope and pray that for you too!!!
@@nickitraylor9125 I’m so sorry, you are right so many changes. Changes I never wanted and still have to deal with. I’m so glad to hear you are doing well after everything you have been through. I’m working towards it, but these health issues definitely feel like a major road block to a happy life right now. Thank you for the prayers.
@@VarietyVarnish I was sooooooooo in love with him in the Under The Bridge video. But I didn’t see him as grunge I guess. But his Lucious locks won me over lol.
@@shawnybee3 hi, I have done those in the past but it has been a while. My friend Sheila at Variety Varnish just posted one of those. Is that something you would be interested in watching? When I swatches for makers I did live swatching, but haven’t been doing that for a while either.
I remember when grunge came out. I felt it was a great change of pace. My first year in high school, I went through an extreme baggy/hip hop phase with my clothes. I gotta give it to my strict military dad. He was probably happy I wore clothes 2x my size. 😂 I do remember that when the movie "The Crow" came out. That goth look took over a good handful of my classmates. The 90s were awesome! There were so many different ways to express yourself. Those were the days. 🥲 Great picks! Hope you feel better!
@@classychictipz OMG the baggy jersey shirts and baggy jeans worn low to show off the belly! Tommy Hilfiger was all the rage here for that style. You’re so right, so many different fashions were popular at that time. Thank you so much.
Nice polishes, but more importantly, I love your transparancy and honesty in this video. I can certainly relate about being stuck in a moment in time due to life 'life-ing'. I don't know you personally but I totally feel from your vibe that you are not only a beautiful person on the outside but on the inside as well. ❤
@@MoodysMood-lt6wh thank you so much, life can really get so hard and and take so many turns you never saw coming. Your comment made my day, thank you for the positive vibes!
Love seeing your retro hauls Jo, keep them coming! Absolutely no judgement, I buy the polishes and open them, and then not wear them for years!!🙈 The only ones I can remember ordering from that month are the PFD’s and the Vapid, which of course I haven’t worn yet! We should twin with the PFD’s!! You are strong my friend and an inspiration to me, prayers for you and healing for your body!!🙏
Girl you are taking me back, axl rose was everything. And you are so right when nirvana came on the scene their music was so different then anything else. Such good times. I still listen to 90’s music now. I didn’t pick anything up that month but that wildflower is giving all the 90’s grunge vibes plus Halloween vampy vibes too.
Oh man I just went down a big deep Silverchair rabbit hole the other day. And Daniel John’s in 99 was the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen. And he was such a great artist. They were 15 when they first came out. They were theee years younger than me and I needed to get near that boy! lol. He’s still alive but sadly he aged. lol. Jk!

I really appreciate your honesty. Catching up with time lost is its own thing. Gathering up the bottles of polish and pieces of memories is healing. Thank you for sharing ❤
@@catherinelynnfraser2001 thank you. It’s nice to clean things up and like put things away. And kind of reflect on that time in my life and leave it in the past.
Unboxings are always fun no matter when they occur! It's a gift from past you to present you! And wow I looked up Eddie Vedder in the 90s and my goodness more men with long beautiful hair please 😍😍 I also think I'm the only one who liked Vanessa Molina's Fishnet Stockings. It took like 4 coats but I thought it was really shifty. The 2.0 version is more opaque though
@@JCWong good way to look at it, a gift! Eddie Vedder 🥰❤️😍. If you like men with long hair you need to see Brad Pitt in Legends Of The Fall lol. I need to try it, but I think for sure I will do undies. Four coats is intense.
@@polishtalk4696 I googled Brad Pitt in that movie but he has long straight hair lol I prefer long wavy/curly hair - specific I know. Four coats is intense but I usually do a skittle mani so it was only four coats for one finger 😅
I too got the fishnet stockings and I remember it being one of those over the top amazing swatch photos and I remember people who ordered it were underwhelmed by it as was I. I’m really trying to not be fooled by amazing photos anymore :) sometimes the polishes look so different….
@@sunshinekillz2554 I guess we got catfished lol. I need to go look up swatches for that and see what they looked like. Thanks for letting me know, I felt crazy lol.
"A bedazzled dill pickle" was not a combination of words I thought I would EVER hear and I loved it! The 80s isn't really "wearable" fashion.....everything just screams 80s from that time, and I believe that designers can't update that era to make it fashionable again. Leather and animal print will always be staples because they can be "updated to become timeless", if that makes any sense. Just my two cents🤷♀️.I hope you can get your medical concerns addressed/resolved soon.
No need to worry about loss packages, I'm so sorry to hear about the divorce and hope for happiness in all areas. I know any relationship ending is so hard let alone a marriage and years of history. Hugs❤
And now we need to see all the unopened packages! I just love you so much. I blocked out the hair bands for the pre goth and depressive existential dark vibes like my 80s high school heart. I had U2 and the Smiths , dog collars combat boots and my beloved trench coat. Ahhhh memories.....class of 87. The 80s and 90s were the best music! I was in Abq at UNM in the 90s and loved Alice in Chains and all those Seattle people. Remember hackysak? More packages please! Sorry about the health stuff, I get it.! Bladders are the worst!💜
@@birdlovespaint Everyone’s a Lobo woof woof woof!!! You’re always so sweet. I remember the trench coat and dog collar looks as well. Bladders and woman issues stink so bad!
I’m sorry you’ve been through so much, and I’m sending prayers and healing vibes. My Mom went through chemo while divorcing my Dad, so I get how that time in your life wasn’t normal. As far as that 90’s polish haul, the Vannessa Molina had swatches that were so beautiful and a lot of people were disappointed by the reality of that one. I think I got that one, the KB Shimmer, and the Vapid that was called Jar of Flies. Haven’t worn a single one yet 😂🫠 Wishing you the best of luck ✨💖✨
@@Miche-ws2gn thank you so much. Your poor mom, that had to be so hard to handle. Thank you for letting me know about the Vanessa Molina, I thought I was going crazy.
I definitely loved the hair band era! In fact, my daughter is named after a Cinderella rip off band named Britny Fox (tho she is Britny Dawn). My first concert was Aerosmith and Guns n Roses. And I was Poison obsessed! The reason hair band fashion hasn’t come back around is because it takes a long time to grow out your hair and we all know that hair spray in that volume is bad for the environment! 😂
@@auntrowdy so jelly you saw Guns N Roses and Aerosmith!! Poison was a favorite for me too, I had Every Rose Has Its Thorn on a 45 record 😂😂😂. True growing out hair would take a while and we don’t want to ruin the ozone again. Love your daughter’s name.
LOL @ there might not be a number! The struggle is REAL! Thanks for sharing; these are all beautiful! I don't anything from either but am somewhat new to the indie world so just give it time... 😆
Your haul is totally amazing! I still don't have any polishes from Great Lakes Lacquer; yes, I know I need to get with the program!😅 The ones you bought are beautiful! I haven't purchased from Polished for Days in such a long time. I do love Mean Ghouls; I'm on board with that gorgeous pink. TFS!
Thank you! I’m not sure why I don’t have more Great Lakes either, they have such pretty stuff. PFD gets me every time. I love most of the stuff she does for PPU and then her collections usually have a few I want as well.
Sooo pretty! Love all these! Thought of you when I got V&R Good Fortune intense elixir for 50% off on Amazon days this week ! I have been looking everywhere for a better price and boom. Half freaking price! I know u appreciate a good fragrance deal! Love great lakes but only have a few , soooo good🎉
Loving the fun bright greens! That's so cool you have Zombie Zest. It's sad that China Glaze is no longer fun and unique with Halloween releases - the old ones were the best. Yey for rich oranges, oh yea!
This video is so fun and cozy! Thanks for all the inspiration for Halloween skittles-this truly is the best time of year for nail fun! Also, what a cute baby!! 🥰
I don't have any of the other polishes, but definitely wearing CG Drink Up Witches and will probably put a black crackle over it. And I'll probably wear it more than once with a different topper/combo. TFS! Your grandbaby is adorable! Such a blessing!
Those Barbie and Wildflower Lacquer polishes are sooo pretty! I'm missing summer already but am looking forward to wearing fall polishes. Sorry to hear you're going through health issues and pray they get cleared up quickly. TFS!
This will be my first Halloween polish rack. I'm loving seeing everyone's picks & your polishes are awesome! I love the green/purple/orange skittle idea. Orly Paradise is gorgeous! I will probably wear CG Drink Up Witches too. Positive Vibes Only with that topper is beautiful; too bad it stains ☹️. I have some Color Club glow-in-the-dark polishes, MLF Trick or Treat, Sinful Colors Bite Me that I'll be wearing with some nail stamping and nail decals. What's going on with no Halloween collection from China Glaze? Hopefully they''ll get back on track. Your grandbaby and his Halloween cap are so adorable! TFS your beautiful picks!
You have some good ones!! I don’t know what’s up with China Glaze but hope they are back soon. Their Halloween collections were the highlight of the year for me. Christmas too.
This reminded me of how I still have a lot of China Glaze Halloween polishes on my lemming list: Don’t let the dead bite, zombie zest, it’s alive, the list goes on on…. Lol
I wish I had Freddy from Colores De Carol. I’m trying to think why I didn’t get it 🤦🏽♀️ I actually think I have it and can’t find it. Nail polish problems😩
