Mark 10:10-11 The only sin is regarding the one who breaks the bond. The one who was living righteous is not under yoke if the other sinfully breaks the bond.

The *only* NT verses that give permission to remarry are for widow(er)s. Ro. 7:3; 1 Cor. 7:39. The further difficulty which was not addressed by this pastor is that remarriage by the left-behind spouse is a deliberate act that shuts the door against the wayward spouse should they ever repent and return. This is huge. IOW, remarrying is an act of permanent hard-heartedness against the offending spouse. So, unforgiveness is the real yoke in this whole matter which these remarrieds are placing upon their own souls. And it's being promoted by this sort of teaching. If they remain single (which 1 Cor 7:11 actually commands), it shows they're willing to receive their spouse back should they ever return. Even if they never do, they're upholding their side of the vow of their covenant marriage and displaying the Grace of God to the sinning spouse, as well as to their children, their church and the world around them. Hence, 1 Cor. 7:11.

@@Jere616 You are inventing law. Jesus was speaking to others who asked about the matter of divorce and remarriage. They clearly understood any allowance for divorce allowed for remarriage, as had already been practiced. Jesus and the Apostles never forbade remarriage in a case of permitted divorce.
