Perfect! I've been looking for a video like that for a while that brings all the ways together. I was confused from multiple separate tutorials but this one shows the difference clear between them & also your explanation is very simple & clear. Thanks (one more thing; the point that we can refer to widgets classes directly from py file without using findChild() for each one is really helpful!)

Pyside does not have lgpl in all its components, there are some components which are under gpl license, so, it is not clear the license of pyside. Besides, pyside also have comercial price in the same way of pyqt. Maybe wxpython is the best alternative, cause its license is so free, even more free than lgpl license, allthough wxpython is not as powerfull as qt, in that case, PYOBJECT will be the best, but is not easy to install it in windows. there are other gui libraries for python, they are in the begining, but we hope they develope more and more, and we forget qt and its confusing licenses and prices. or we hope that pygobject be developed ion such a way that we can install it in windows only with pip install, greetings.

Very useful. thanks Hala. I have an issue, the final output has an app and an executable file. The app doesnt work in the sense that it only takes the inputs but does not open up the target folder in my program. it works only with the exe file and not the app file. So the app file is redundant. How do I merge the executable file and the app file.

I'm very curious about the expanding items you have in the tkinter tree i'm assuming. I'm not sure what they are called and so it's hard for me to find. Do you have a name for what they are called or a tutorial for them?

I like designing the GUI elements in a WYSIWYG editor , then separately code what those elements do. For example pyqt has Qt Designer.. GTK has Glade/Cambalache /GTK Builder, and wxWidgets has wxSmith / wxGlade / wxFormBuilder. Does tkinter have something like that? BTW, any thoughts on Taipy Designer StreamLit Gradio Google Mesop NiceGuI ImGui / pyimgui / dearpygui (WYSIWYG Editors: tpecholt / imrad , Raais/ImStudio , ImGuiBuilder and JamesBoer / ImFrame)

This was a great learning experience for me. Not only was it a great explanation on how to use openai but also widget placement especially using frames. my suggestion is that you update the OpenAI import statement. I found I needed to first buy a minimum subscription for OpenAI. from openai import OpenAI client=OpenAI(api_key=os.getenv("OpenAI_API_Key")) response =client.chat.completions.create(model="gpt-4o-mini".....)

Thank you for the great tutorial. By the way, just note that when you used the module datetime and made it add time to the filename, the last digits were not just seconds. The first digits indicated the hours however using the 24-hour clock format, so as it was 8 PM on your PC, that became the number 20.
