This Channel is devoted to historical FA Cup football, especially the pre match build ups on Cup Final day. No other football competition involves so many football teams and has the history, drama, excitement or memorable moments. I hope this channel brings back memories to many and gives a feeling of what the FA Cup is all about.
When Pompey scored the terrace cleared in front of me! Stood at back going mental with a few others that didn't disappear. Great scenes you can't get now with all seaters. How far did the ref put our wall back?!! We all knew it was going in but not via the post. A great day and so close again in the replay.
Hardly any fans sing along nowadays which is quite sad , Abide With Me is one of the best traditions in football and I love to hear it every year. It always reminds me of my dear old Dad , we watched so many FA Cup finals together , back when live football was rare and the whole day was on BBC.
Was at the match as a 14 year old, West Stand Block D, Row O, Seat 4. Was probably the first time I'd experienced the whole ground singing Bubbles at the same time. Still sends shivers down my spine. Managed to see every game home and away in that Cup run and didn't miss a West Ham FA Cup game for years afterwards.
Brings back memories. A few I didn’t expect. 1) Vinnie jones with a decent thatch. 2) Big Lurch’s ability to kick a ball across the English Channel if necessary. 3) How passes back to the goalie was once the norm.
So many Great games and goals, "however" (even though I am an England supporter) you can SEE CLEARLY that supporters were running on the pitch (LOOK at the top of the screen) as Jeff Hurst receives the ball and scores ... as the famous commentary goes ..."Some people are running on the pitch, they think its all over ... It is now" Yet F.I.F.A. rules states when people invade the pitch, play must stop!.
Another piss take by lil ol Smallwall..took the whole area apart before.n after don.t be fooled by the haters n fibbers liberties were taken over 2000 Millwall outside during the game..😉🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁
That game and winning the final meant nothing to Liverpool. Thats what hurts. If you asked one of their fans who won the 1992 FA Cup final they wouldn’t even know. ⭐️🌙
Not true mate. I was 10 and remember this like it was yesterday. I missed the glory years of the 70's and 80's so this was my first Liverpool trophy year!!
Here we are 36 years later and Liverpool fans still cannot give little Wimbledon credit for their only FA Cup win. This arrogance and bad sportsmanship is one of the reasons why Liverpool fans are the most hated in this country. Well done Wimbledon, you deserved it and you put a smile on every neutral fan in the UK 👍
It was because of the pitch invasion at this match as to why Highbury was not used as a semi final venue again until 1992. The reason being there were no fences to stop pitch invasions. If there had been no fences at Hillsborough the disaster would never have happened.
