Lsu fan here. Watched till the 3rd quarter when sna jose st. Pulled away for a sec and i stopped watching. Seeing the score this morning was insane to me
All I can think about is mike leach when I see this team breaks my heart..I’m a sipp state fan and glad we was his last team but wish he woulda stayed at WSU. I think the stress at mississippi state was too much for him..
Seems after the first 3 games, and the big win over the Dawgs last week, a malaise set in. Perhaps a letdown after the UW game. Coach, check the You Tube comments on the suggestions / observations / made this week.....unusually insightful comments by WSU fans. Perhaps check those, because, since you are w/in the belly of the beast w/ the team, you might not see some things in the way an outsider sees them. Just a suggestion.
Do you ever hear the players use the phrase Kind Of? Very rarley? Where did these reporters learn to ask football questions. If you Kind Of do something in football,, you get Smoked! Please learn how to ask football players questions about football? Please!
There were so many moments this game was practically OVER. Fans left the stadium when we were down 14, they left after the td with 26sec… but I stayed til the end and got to witness my second in person game ever. With that being said congrats on winning your bet!
I am impressed with 7:31 Coach Dickert! I am a Cougar graduated in 1995 and live in Georgia. Man do I wish that I was close enough to go to some of the games this year!
@@adamcompean9385 - ya man. We have some serious tackling issues in the defensive backfield. Our little dudes bounce off the 6’3” receivers with regularity…
@@adamcompean9385 - that decision to throw it in the first OT is one of the worst play calls I have seen at WSU. Just kick the field goal….or TRY to kick the field goal and win it.
Observations - 1) With two short defensive backs starting with a freshman, we could have some challenges moving forward. 2) Kicker needs to worry about kicking instead of award watch lists…etc. We are playing close games because our special teams are brutal. 3) Gusta, Edson and Kyle played well. Gusta in particular. 4) Too many 1st down runs with Wayshawn. Straight up the middle on first isn’t working. I guess we start taking the Over on every game now…lol Go Cougs!
This is true leadership. Love you Jake!!!! A great football coach & an even better leader of men. The entire University is better off with this man at the helm. GO COUGS
I appreciate the honesty, but I'm still not happy. We didn't look like a P5 team who've been playing UW, USC, OREGON, UCLA, etc- FOR DECADES!!! We looked like a glorified honorary G5 team; but hey, at least we got the W right? No. Just NO. We tried DESPERATELY to lose this game. Played to a level that was flat and uninspired. That's the kind of football you get when you call yourself trying to control the clock. Allowing SJ to stick around longer than they had any right to was disgustingly confusing. Where was the fire? The high-flying excitement?? Where were the Fun Cougs we're so used to??? This was a nail-biter, again because we refuse to bury opponents in quarters 1-3. It's been a decade now, you'd think we would learn by now, Coach. We're not the kind of team that can afford to let opponents stick around til the 4th quarter... While I'm not happy about the overall performance, beginning to end; I am grateful for the win. 4-0 GO COUGS!!!
Ya, luckily your opinion doesn't speak for any Coug fans everywhere. We just won in double OT against an undefeated team 6 days after winning the biggest game of the season. Take your negativity elsewhere
@@futurecoug2012 yeah I speak for myself, and I stand by it. There never should've been an OT, let alone Double OT. It's the internet. If you think someone is being "negative", keep it pushing. No need to engage in what YOU deem to be "negative", right? Like I said... ...we got the W. GO COUGS!!!😎
Yeah there's a lot of work to do Jake. #1 learn how to tackle. #2 practice your kicker more. So many inexcusable mistakes. Sloppy game. Do you want to be in the top 25? You won't be like this. Get your stuff together boys.
Our kicker is having to do surprise spot duty as our punter, which means we also don't have our nornal FG holder either. You don't think they practice FG kicks as much as humanly possible.....??????
@@futurecoug2012- nonsense. He has been doing interviews and paying attention to watch lists for kicker awards..etc. He has been bad since Spring football started. If we don’t fix the kicking, we will lose 2 games because of it. The fact that we don’t have a good backup kicker or punter is really going to hurt. Go Cougs!
@@ArmchairCentral bro went 6/7 on the day without his normal holder while also punting 3x and then nailed a 52 yarder down the middle that would've been good from 60 to save the game, & you're out here saying we need a backup kicker....????? Comedy 😂😂😂😂
@@futurecoug2012 - slow down junior… Every team needs to have backups at positions. The Cougs don’t have a backup punter, so Dean is having to punt. Everybody in the nation realizes WSU has a kicking problem…except you, you have this all figured out as a rookie Cougar fan. Go Cougs!
@@geoffreybowen4788 I notice it most in the context of what could be phrased as "could you walk us through that play (or that series) from your perspective?" It's a request -- kind of a question, but not worded in the form of a question. (Yes, I see what I did there.) The other pet peeve is the excessive use of "obviously." My best guess on all of this is there's a confidence issue -- almost an apology for asking about something that may or may not actually be obvious. That being said (transfer portal announcement cliche), the bottom line is I suspect they're trying to get quotes more than they are looking for answers to burning questions, especially in the context of a game recap story.
