History is repeating itself, now putin's ruZia has taken the place of Hitler's Germany. the new madman is a threat to Europe, we need to stop putin and his rashism
I studied Hans Litten when I was in law school, when I was doing jurisprudence. He was incredibly brave in how he practiced law. He could have had a very easy life if he had wished but he chose a hard life because he wanted to help others and had little regard for himself. There was a great film made about him, in German, (English subtitles) and I recommend it - it's called The Man Who Crossed Hitler.
He’s my grandfather and his children did leave in the Kindertransporte. Other parts of his family remained in Germany and some of them were close to the regime. Life is complicated
Why do you delete and block comments for no reason? The only thing I see here is that you feel uncomfortable because you saw yourself not winning a discussion. Please leave discussions there and try to be open minded my friend. Thx
he doesn't even have a wikipedia page which is insane to me. Really makes your realise that the propaganda is not one way as the West really dont want to acknowledge him it seems to me.
Right, not wanting the Russians to make any use of his country estate Goering had it blown up after all his collections were removed. Oddly enough, the Goebbels country estate survived the war and was used as a rec center by the Russians and East Germans. Obviously Goebbels didn't care what happened to it once all was lost.
@@whitlamsberlintours Right! Better safe than sorry! The last I heard the Goebbels estate was the property of the German government who don't seem to know what to do with it.
Nice Video, I am always interestet in historical stuff on a mopre minor scale, things they don't tell you in TV shows. Looking forward to watch your other videos. Abo haste jedenfalls.
It's so great to see one of your videos again! Thanks! I'm an artist, so I loved the field of brass rabbits. I'm also a rancher, so I have a question: how did the rabbits get there in the first place? Rabbits out in the country, sure, but in the middle of a very big city? I don't get it... Thanks for another great video! I'm always looking forward to more from you. You made my day!
Ah cheers! I upload to other well-known vertical video apps often :) perhaps I should start putting them all on here again. Every big city is filled with wildlife. Here in Berlin you can find wild pigs, foxes, and even raccoons! There are many rabbits in our parks. I see them often at the Soviet War Memorial in the Tiergarten :)
Wow! There's a Soviet War Memorial in the Zoo? Wild! A big mountain lion made it all of the way to downtown San Francisco a few years ago. Nobody could imagine how it did it! To get to downtown it had to travel through all of San Francisco, but San Francisco is only seven miles across, not like Berlin. Please tell me what other apps I can see your videos on. I only know about RU-vid. Thanks again!
My father was on that bombing mission. He was in the U.S. 8th AF, 94th Bomb Group out of Bury St. Edmonds England. After my dad died in 2009, I found out that on that flight were a handful of planes that carried delayed action bombs and that Dad & his crew carried one of those bombs. I believe there was only one other crew from Rougham Field that also carried one of those. I was given now de-classified documents showing the military orders for the crew to go to another base in England for training on how to arm those bombs. These bombs were meant to explode 24-48 hours after they landed on the ground and the objective was to kill some of the scientists working there who may be digging through rubble to get drawings & plans. When my mother called the last living member of dad’s crew and asked “is this really true?” He said yes. And when she asked why didn’t any of you guys ever talk about that, his answer was that it was a terrible thing and they knew they were killing civilians and he said “I guess we just didn’t want to remember that”. War is hell.
It is truly awful. Even being on the right side of the conflict at large, what a terrifying act, and an impossible thing to live with. Thank you very much for sharing that.
😢Leviticus 18:22 KJV Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Ephesians 6:10-18 says, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.
Being a “genius” is a serious diagnosis. They’re also on the spectrum, with the rest (autists, psychopaths, sociopaths, narcissists…) Fuchs may have been a “brilliant mind” when it came to physics, just like Milton Friedman was a “brilliant mind” in economics, but both share the same trait. That of being a human piece of sh.
Thanks for the excellent video. It is so nice to hear that a Soviet general had this attitude, and so sad that he died before his ideas could be put into effect. I agree with the comment about the rape of German women in Berlin, and elsewhere in Germany. My grandmother and her family and friends were lucky as they lived in the American Zone of Occupation.
Thanks for another great video. But I'm confused... How does one climb over an electrified fence without being killed or at least badly injured and stopped from proceeding. Was the electricity turned off or turned way down at the time?
You would need to cover the fence with something non-conductive. That said, the electrification of the fence here was to alert guards as to the location it had been breached, not to kill would-be escapees by shocking them.
You don’t earnestly think people are promoting such things are the Berlin Wall, do you? That would be the same as anyone suggesting anything an inch right of centre is immediately a Nazi. Attitudes like this don’t help serious debate.
Not gonna lie, I would've preferred some proper shots of the building that show it fully instead of jumpcuts of random b-roll that loosely relate to the subject.
That was fascinating. Thanks! My best friend and I spent a month in Germany in the summer of 1973, but unfortunately we were only in Bavaria so we missed out on Berlin completely. On the other hand, I bet that few or none of the things in this video existed at that time. I'm glad to know that people are enjoying these things now.
I’m not sure if the ferry existed, but the other things did as far as I know. No mind though, you can come and enjoy them if you ever make it to Berlin 😊
Serious house envy around here - this was the “mansion estate” - a lot of the big movie stars in the ‘20s lived here since it was so near to the Babelsberg studio
