Documenting the Life, Journey and Travels with Rose, a very special person (in the author's eyes) whose life so far has been a story of struggle and sacrifice -- not that you'd ever know this, when all you can see are smiles, positivity & warmth.
I suggested to Rose that she might like to write a book about her life, but she's hasn't found the time or confidence to do this. Instead, she's making a RU-vid channel to document life as a way to gain confidence with English speaking and learning a new skill of using a computer.
Thank you for being patient with her English, which is improving day-by-day. Like a lot of "Tinglish" speakers, Rose mixes up her R's and L's and often doesn't pronounce the end of her words. For now it's kind-of cute!
Please do 'smash the Like button' too! This helps her channel grow and it gives her positive reinforcement that there are good people that are interested in learning about different cultures, stories & experiences.

great vlog, thank you both......and as Rose said, thank you teacher 555. i think the fish were Siamese carp, they were only small and they grow to well over 200lbs must have been scary driving up the hill with the oil spillages!!, gonna get worse when it rains loved all the different formations, and you were right Dave, we used to remember it with "when the mites climb up, the tights come down!" 555 P.S. Thais aren't the only ones obsessed with boobs lol looking forward to the next episode, you must have spent many many hours editing and are managing to produce extremely interesting posts👍👍👍

lovely hotel, Rose it was so cute watching you spread butter and jam with a fork with a knife on the side of your plate! i know Thais rarely use a knife but it's still sweet to watch! the river looks very nice and i would like to try fishing it, i wonder what species i would catch, i imagine there would be a few of the barb family in there, if we ever manage to meet up i would love to take you both fishing for a day or so, would be great to get Dave fighting a 100KG+ Arapaima! Ying was awesome, so strong!! and always with a smile bless her take care both🙂🙂🙂
@tonymatthews2344 Yes, Dave always laughs at me, because I am left handed and I'm not used to using a knife even when I go to restaurants in the UK. give me a spoon. 100kg fish for dave is no problem because dave is more than 100kg so the fish would surely die! ying was strong and very helpful.

the banoffee cake looked beautiful, Dave was lucky you decided to leave some for him 555 the lady selling the lasagne was one of the best English speakers i have heard, guessing she has/had a British partner, the street food prices were brilliant but i would have been happy with more Thai choices all in all not my sort of place with too many kids living on daddies money but looking forward to seeing the landscape in the daylight, take care both😊😊😊

@tonymatthews2344 Thank you for your comment. Ja Bo is a popular place for Thais in winter. And all year long It won't be too hot there. That place was amazing. Definitely beautiful in the morning, when you wake up you will get mist floating over the mountains. I would like to go back there again when I have the opportunity. Blue is a charming woman. If you have a chance, you must stop by and take a break once.😊🥰🙏

Travel by renting a car in Chiang Mai for 800 baht per day. Starting with the journey heading to Mae Hong Son, a journey filled with nature. mountains trees green nature☺️

not sure what type of fish these are but they certainly like the salad! i enjoy coffee with milk, no sugar, but fresh milk, carnation milk is loaded with sugar and is not good for you, i also really like black tea with lemon juice and no sugar, lovely hot or cold

what beautiful views from your hotel room, worth the price alone! i have to agree with Dave about the food, i really don't like food that should be hot being served cold and i think i would be out of the hotel looking for breakfast or even grabbing a couple of pots of Mama noodles to see me through until mid-morning🍜🍜🍜
(Dave typing) We have mixed feelings about the hotel tbh. It's certainly got the best views of the lake so that probably makes it worth the stay alone. However, upon reflection, for the money being charged for both the room and dinner, we would've expected more. I guess we got excited byl one Google reviewer who said there was a "five course breakfast", which must have been a translation slip-up of "there are five trays of cold food to choose from (mostly rice)". 😂 The town is lovely though, worthy of a one or two night stay (max).
very nice but way too cold for me, i once went to Chiang Rai and it was so cold we were going into 7/11 to warm up!!....only joking of course the view from the hotel was wonderful, but i agree, the beauty of the area was early morning and sunset the food looked delicious (you know Khao Soi is my favourite) i wish they sold North Western specialities in more places in Southern Thailand, i don't fancy going to the cold areas to enjoy it!! take care both, and drive safe Dave

We were there in December 2023. It was an awful road to drive up there in the car we rented. When we arrived it was very windy. Everything up there was expensive. It was a beautiful look, but we went to PAI, which was a great decision. Would we go back? Yes, the day money means nothing to us.
@Market Squeezer Hello, the road to Ban Rak Thai quite dangerous Must drive carefully. 4,000 curves to reach, challenging and fun. You are right if you choose a restaurant for tourists. The price will not be cheap. If you can eat at a restaurant that isn't fancy, the prices won't be expensive. Mostly me and Dave. I will choose to eat at a normal restaurant. The taste is delicious😋👍 and I still have money left over. On the next trip If you go back next time must try the restaurant. that local people can use the service The price will be cheaper. Street food isn't bad☺️🙏

We were there in December 2023 and the people were so kind. My daughter got a copper around her neck. Love this visit, it was a so beautiful experience ❤ BTW: I really regret I did not bought an incredible handmade teak sculpture, but I will do next time. Unbelievable great video 👍
