Top Hunter in World of Warcraft. Check out my Twitch if you like to watch high-end gameplay. I also enjoy playing shooters like Apex and CS2 and a ton of other games.
Everyone gets a little circle around them that does damage. All it really does is force us to spread more. The upstairs group has to be mindful not to stand on the adds in the downstairs group or it'll cleave between the realms.
I think if you're not the 3 meta dps specs you'll find it hard in a M+ pug. I do think every spec is pretty good in a group of friends but LFG likes to stick to the meta
It's too early to tell, but MM single target seems a little better than survival's single target so far. If you can learn BM it's super OP at raid single target right now though
I'm assuming at anywhere around title keys there's just no way around playing Ward right? Seems like just about every title or near title hunter in either MM or BM are running Ward with the exception of a couple of TW hunters. Wondering what your thoughts are in even the +15 range as worry about how much of a dps loss it is.
I've been playing ward since about +15 keys. I think the dps loss is marginal and the TW hunters only don't play it because they have another person in the group playing ward that is exclusively theirs to use as needed. You don't need ward to live 15's but having more control over your own life is super valuable and I recommend it to all hunters that pug
@@CoffeeBeerHeals In practice, ward is more dps and hps than fyrakk's tank trinket so it's a better trinket. Fyrakk puts a dot on you, so if you're comparing the two on total healing then ward actually ends up winning since the fyrakk trinket actually breaks its own shield to be weaker than ward's shield. Since ward has mainstat, it gives you more damage versus the versatility as well. Fyrakk's performs better in a sim, which is pressing it on cooldown for the damage it causes from the random fire damage in melee, but in practice if you're using a trinket to live you're not pressing it on cooldown for damage. You're pressing it for specific instances of damage so you can live the key. Pressing it on cooldown for damage means you're just giving up the survivability aspect, so just play a dps trinket at that point. There's also even another aspect where the fyrakk trinket only does damage if you're in melee, which now adds a positional constraint for a mobile range spec and makes you less potent as a hunter. There's a singular use case for fyrakk's imo and it's gale arrow in Nokhud, where ward isn't enough to save you on its own so you need the larger upfront shield to live it and your healer can heal you through the dot after. TLDR: ward is way better and fyrakk is bad.
@@CoffeeBeerHeals Also, ward is not only used for me. Almost every key I prevent at least a death from putting it on someone else in the group that could've easily led to either a wipe or simply a time loss
I know the feedback process for hunters is probably over for the the War Within Beta but if there is an opportunity someone or a group of people should mention the convoluted process for MM hunters to use Lust / Heroism. Other pet specs aren't penalized as much for going without their pet. Warlocks still get a pet ability if they use sacrifice. It should at least be addressed when they are in that mode currently.
I think ward with MM is one of the strongest reasons to pick MM over BM since it can run ward much more freely. Ward alone has saved so many people not just myself in all of these keys so I think it's required anywhere above +15 tbh.
Hey! Notice you've been running Marksman quite a bit. Is this because of how it looks in the new expansion? Or is the burst more valuable in higher keys?
how often do you look at your bars and with no cast bar addon or wa tracking abilities are you always scanning down there? just wondering because my brain doesnt seem to work well with a weakaura hud i always find myself checking cooldown timers on my bars etc
@@jayryan1956 I actually scan with my eyes down there pretty frequently and over time I got really good at just flicking down there every once in a while to see important things.
nice run, I will copy some defensive tips, in the same way you could share your WA of CC in aoe of the group? or where can I get it?, thanks in advance :)
That's actually the addon called Omnicd! My profile string is linked at text.is/JQ3WY if you want to import that into your omnicd profile you can get my cc tracker.
Any chance you can have a guide or at least button tracker so we can see what you are casting, trying to learn mm properly from DF and theres no good rotation guide out there
One of the pets* can provide bloodlust/heroism for the group and the other gives me 7.5% hp and an extra defensive button. I swap based on what utility I need
You can check what trinkets/talents/gear I was running if you click the link in the description for the run at raider.io/mythic-plus-runs/season-df-4/9589417-20-the-nokhud-offensive
I think you should battlenet friend anyone you play with that you either think was a good player skill-wise or personality-wise and meshed well with you. What ends up happening is you just get a friends list full of people you either use to love playing with or people you still love playing with and you can constantly get into groups that way
They're on my wago. I have them individually in there but also there's a "banshers warband" pack that just has all the weakauras I use for every class I play wago.io/p/Bansherz
