i don't know much about grooming but how do you take corners with a 2 tracked groomer? I always thought it would be better to have a 4 tracked groomer but I don't think they make them anymore.
I've asked others as well. I'm trying to figure out how to attach the upper part of the hoe to the tracks or wheel fra.e on yours. It seems the hydraulic lines would get tangled up or the rubbing alone would cause problems. I have most all components to build my own small excavator but have no idea how to get the hoses to the drive motors. I have several ideas how to attach the upper or body part of it to the undercarriage to make it swivel 360. Need help understanding how to fix or run the hydraulics between the two. Thanks.
An excavator has component called a rotary union which solves this. The thing goes through the center of the turntable. It is essentially a bearing with hydraulics running through it. The top and bottom have male and female hose connectors where the hydraulic likes hook up to. Search rotary union up and you should find what you need.
I am impressed ....I think....I need to process what I just saw. OK...good job...and I am sure by now you have seen where you can make some improvements , like stability , setting your lift cylinder in a different position OR extending the boom out so you can lift higher. It swings 365 degrees without binding or stopping , for that is really the hardest part of a mini ex project , oh yea , and making that swing system LAST. good deal guy.
