Hey guys!! 🪱🪱Worm welcome!!!🪱🪱 My name is Grace and I'm an artist. I want to share my journey of making this my full time job while I explore, hike, thrift, photograph and paint my way through the many places the US Air Force sends my husband and I. I love the wee beasties and most of my art is what you may consider aesthetically swamp/goblincore. Follow me for art, projects and adventure videos every Thursday!
I love the tiny Altoids container for a small piece of credit card to create texture and couple of salt bags those from take out restaurants great for salt over wet paint for texture
Thank you for watching!! I'm so glad you found it helpful! I'll be doing a one year update on how I've changed it up a little so stay tuned for that if you are interested!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you found it useful! I'll be doing an update on the pack in the fall with a few little additions and some new items so watch out for that if you're interested!
So happy to know that I'm not the only one who does this! 💚 I've had collections like your's for decades & it always brought me so much joy just to go through the items once in a while. It looks like there's a fun way to use these items on clothing & accessories now too. Thank you for showing your collection.
Isn't it SO fun!!?? I love little treasures. I'll be doing a video on the stuff I'm adding to the collection at the end of the year too, so be sure to watch out for that!
I found it at a store here in Okinawa called Loft, but I've had no luck finding it online unfortunately. I'm always on the lookout though and I'll be sure to give an update if I do find it!
This is so lovely!! I am a small art vendor and i just love this idea!! I may give it a shot! I'm just discovering your channel and love your creations and calm video style! Keep going!!
Thank you so much! I had fun making it and it got lots of compliments and started several conversations (especially with the handyman guys) If you make one, I'd love to know how it works out for you!
Congrats!! I really can't think of anything I think you should change, I really enjoy your content. There are a lot of people who do the super edited, very aesthetic, beautiful vids but I don't find them as appealing as someone just turning their camera on and doing their thing without massive editing, like OG youtube used to be lol. <3
Thank you!! I very much wish they could be a tad more aesthetic, but I also don't want to lose how much I enjoy the simple, no fuss way I do things. I like simple!
Are you familiar with Art Tool Kit out of Washington state USA? They sell tiny palettes that are awesome!! I put 3 different ones in my ultim bag (just like yours) and it doesn’t take much room at all. They come prefilled with paint or empty and you can fill your own. They are definitely worth checking out if you’re not familiar with them. My larger palettes I reserve for use at home. Also, I bought a very small makeup container from amazon and I put a small piece of kneaded eraser in it. It’s perfect! You don’t need much. Art Tool Kit also sells tiny spray bottles to spritz your paint and also the small collapsible water cups. Thank you for sharing this fabulous bag! I love mine! And also, thank you so much for your husbands service and for your support and sacrifice for him and also for all of us! I appreciate you both!! 🇺🇸
Thank you!!! I have seen similar pallets, but not this particular brand! I love the modular tiles. I'll definitely have to consider getting some, especially since I plan to start collecting some new materials while here in Japan! The kneaded eraser is also a new add for me! I've used them in the past but so many suggested it, I had to comply haha, and I'm glad I did!
Hi. I just subscribed. The RU-vid algorithm finally put you on my home page! Really enjoyed this video. I loved that it was in real time. I think anyone truly interested in art of all kinds would be more than happy to watch the entire process. There are way too many Timelapse videos now. For me, when my interest is in artistic processes, it makes no sense. To learn, you need to see every detail. Anyway, I shall climb down off my soapbox now. 🤭 My favourite was the Moth, but all are cute. Greetings from Scotland! 👋🏻🎨🖌️👩🏻🎨
Wow thank you!! I appreciate this feedback so much! I don't mind a timelapse but I feel the same way, there are so many. I need every detail when learning too, especially since I learn best by doing and that's hard to do from a timelapse for sure. Say hello to beautiful Scotland for me! I'm originally from the Appalachian mountains and feel heavily influenced by our geological similarities ❤
@@rustythicketstudio The Appalachians are truly stunning. I love watching documentaries on a variety of worldwide locations. I agree, there are certainly many geological similarities. My apologies for my late reply - a bad cold left me only enough time to cough, sneeze, blow my nose and sleep! 😂 I am pleased you enjoyed my comment and understood my feelings on the subject. Having said that, I will watch every art producing video there is as I simply love watching so many different approaches to an individual's art. Artists never cease to amaze and bring me joy. I shall always be a beginner as I have a few physical health issues that interfere, but I am okay with that as I cover my walls with an eclectic array of original art. ❤️🎨👩🏻🎨🖌️
Thank you!! I'm so glad you found it useful! I do feel its harder and harder to track down online. I'm thinking I may need to snag a few extras from here before I have to leave.
I've been using an wrist-band towel for a few months now, and it's so convenient when I'm out of the house. Anyone have thoughts on how to keep it clean? (once it has color all over it's harder to tell how clean my brush is)
I also ran into this problem at first, but I have a method now! I wash it in the machine like regular, then after, whatever doesn't come out, I take a small brush or old toothbrush with equal parts warm water and hydrogen peroxide. scrub scrub! Works best if its still damp/ or re wet it from the first wash!
I’m looking for a collapsable water cup this size, but your link goes to a larger one that seems more standard. Any ideas? Not seeing anything this size.
I had a hard time finding one online for a while, but if you search them as "mini" or "keychains" lots come up now! here is and example: shorturl.at/tt4oB
Of course! I'm just now realizing I didn't add in the links :/ here is the little speaker dude. It does a ton of stuff anf comes with a cute app to customize it yourself! www.amazon.com/dp/B0811XB8VB/ref=twister_B084SPVTKZ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Purchased this bag after watching your video and am really glad I did! Great travel art bag; love that it stands upright so I can see all supplies. Holds everything I need to work in a travel art journal, can set up anywhere - park bench, coffee shop, airport. Perfect for my needs. Thank you for posting!
Sadly, I haven't seen it anywhere besides in LOFT, a store here in Okinawa. I've been on the hunt though and if I come across it I will let everyone know!
Great presentation-- thorough & a very practical kit for travel, & the wristband (as well as the sock suggestions below) is 'why didn't I think of that??!' I'll use your link to get the bag --- so many uses for that! It looks so sturdy standing, i think my x-large Rx bottles for water (duct-taped together) would adhere to the open flap just by adding a couple velcro strips alongside. Very useful for urban sketching. Thnx for the video! :)
I keep a smaller piece of kneaded eraser between the last page of the book and the cover. It does leave a little greasy spot but I don’t care. I always have it with me and it never dries out there and doesn’t get in the way. Bigger books get bigger pieces but I never have more than a quarter of one tucked in. Just smush it between the page and cover and close the book. Never forget my eraser anymore.
