Great job. Question - I just purchased the same pool and want to do similar. What I am concerned about is that the side of the pool and metal braces are designed to rock back and forth as the water moves when people are in the pool. The original flex tubes allow for that motion - but the PVC is rigid and wont flex. Have you had any issue with that?
So far I have had no issues, presumably because the movement generated during pool usage is absorbed by the floating elbows of the pool and very little movement is generated in the lower walls, which where the pvc is located.
One and only question… how did you connect the main 40mm parts? The threads that come off the pump and return you would have to usually screw the hose into? If i could figure that out i can do the rest. Great set up bud def!
Great video! Piping looks fantastic! The next upgrade I would recommend is upgrading your inlets to the 1.5 inch, should increase your water flow even more. Lots of videos on it, there's an intex kit they make for it but it's pretty hard to find right now since its peak pool season.
Nice set but I think becuz the intex pool flexes, hopefully the pipes can hold. For me, new England weather sucks so hard piping is no no. Gonna go with flexible pipes.
Ive seen some people use just the hayward skimmer and keep the two stock intakes disconnected. What made you connect all 3, the 2 stock and the Hayward? Im wondering about suction power on Hayward with keeping all 3 connected.
This is a pretty big above ground pool so the skimmer alone may take care of the surface but the deeper parts of the pool won’t get the proper filtering and circulation. I think for this size pool you need both outlets for proper filtering and circulation.
Good video. Thank you for posting it. Any chance you could provide a parts list for each of the pieces that you used? I have the 12x24 coming in next week.
Sorry unfortunately I didn’t take an account of all of the pieces that I used but I decided to use the 1 1/2 inch pvc piping as my fundamental size and I basically kept the other pieces uniformed to that size.
