Montana is gross, disgusting and so polluted …..if you go you will get sick…Chernobyl like….so much mining ….see the protective suits they wear. Dangerous STAY AWAY!
This is a really well-done video, and one I've pointed out to my daughter who will be coming with me on a trip at the end of April. I'm also really happy to see others standing while rowing, which I'm a proponent of.
That opening boat flip is some of my friends, on our trip there. We got a picture of people just floating in the air underneath an upside down boat 😂😂😂 My friend Jackie was guiding that That whole group of first boat flips were our guys. I’ll upload some video eventually 😂😂😂
Thanks for your delightful medium low water trip down the Middle Fork. I’ve had the privilege to do four trips down the MF. The last one was in 1980 or 81 when we didn’t have self bailing rafts yet. Thanks again for your trip tour down this marvelous river. Would like to know the flow?
Spectacular scenery and lots of things going on - enough to speak about for a lifetime! Sideways approach to such waves is not good, nor is it ever advisable; and there's a lot of it in this video. Perhaps, the boats are too much (too big, too heavy, for arms not strong, or quick, enough) to handle?! Seeing how you jump in the water and float: do you get wet under those costumes?

Awesome video! I was fortunate to make that trip a few years ago with my son, Lowen and Liz and their crew or paddle heads! We were able to make the trip due to a cancelation, and on short notice, they got an outfitter to set us up, and away we went! It was an honor and a privilege to be included!!!
So glad I found this video. I'm TL on a trip putting on June 22, 2022 and the forecast is looking like river conditions much like what you saw. How was camping/finding camps? How many people in your group. What size were the rafts? Cheers!
I was wondering the same thing. I’ve fished the middle fork of the Flathead numerous times in the complex, but typically in late August/early Sept (right before Elk season) and the water is way lower than this. Still some good water for rafting, but more conducive to fishing. Absolutely insanely beautiful no matter when you go!
I’m see bears almost every time I go in. Or at least see fresh scat and prints. Lucky all have been at a distance and most of the time black bears (even though they sometimes look like small griz). I’ve used the same guide the past 20 years or so and those guys have some of the wildest stories you will ever hear. I mean…these guys help train seal team 6 in this part of the Bob. No joke.
