Great- easier than putting a screw through the regulator rail just under the trolley

Thanks for the helpful video. I'm gonna do this for my back window. One less thing to half to spend money on and one less thing to worry about failing in the future. A win-win for real! 👍

Would this work on a Chevy impala 2010? I just want to make sure I’m not getting screwed over by someone’s estimate. They also told me there was no way to keep it up permanently except tape or fix regulator.
@alexanderanghel7946

All regulators work the same. Another easy way yo do it is to take the door panel out, push up the window and then put a piece of wood whatever size needed to hold the window.

Just saw this thing in a RU-vid video add a tradeshow just showing it not using it and looked around and then I also found your video so then I found a few videos of it being used and then I ended up here, and now I’ve got all the information, thanks I hope you’ve helped some people, I guess the biggest advantage to this thing is that it sits on a wheelbarrow and then it’s easy to just push that wherever you need to and dump it, if I was going to use this for a lot of wet work I’d probably put a drain in the bottom of the wheelbarrow something like 2 inches at least

Cub Cadet built there first mower in 1961, The Cub Cadet Original , fenders and lights and rear hitch were all accessories you could buy. And sometimes can be worth more then the little tractor itself can be worth.

You may find the year through the serial number which is stamped into the transmission casting on the right side by the filler plug. And you were close with the 'mule pulleys'. That arrangement is referred to as a 'Mule Hitch', so they would be mule hitch pulleys.

Just did this hack on my neighbors buick lacerne whose window just fell down and cable was jumbled. Cut cable and had to pull it several times from both ends to get desired tension but now its staying put. I used a countersunk finish washer to give more anchoring surface and it crushed around cable nicely, used thread lock as well. THANKS!

You can just put plastic wall mounted hooks from the dollar store at the base of the window on the inside. It's holding mine up pretty good

@@honeybuzzard2843 use e6000 glue to mount anything plastic at the bottom of the window. That way it won't slide down

@@honeybuzzard2843I was doing that for a while and every week or so the things would pop back off due to summer heat or storm or something. He's suggesting finding 2 suction cups and suctioning them to the bottom of the glass on the inside. Put them so that they rest on the plastic of the door to prevent the glass sliding down. But like I said it wasn't very effective for me

Was excited for this and went through the process, but mine's not working the same. When I put the cable through the regulator and pull on the cable, it pulls my window DOWN, not up. Am I missing a step, or are the '04 Grand Prix built differently? If anyone has any help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

You could have added a hitch extension allowing the adapter to be located in the rear section of block alleviating clearance issues.
@cluberie8981
@cluberie8981 2 года назад
One of the objectives in designing this ballast was to keep it compact and out of the way. Adding an extension would have been like dragging an implement. If that were the case I would’ve just added a box, blade or something.

I believe fenders and lights were optional features. The lights were the same as used on some Farmall tractors and are next to impossible to find today and even if you do you may have to mortgage your house to buy them.
