So what is your honest opinion, at the hobby shop I was told the Slash has better parts available but I know the Fury just came out not too long so parts will be available. Although I'm just going to run around in the yard maybe jump out of some ditches - not even a foot high.
Im sure you already fixed it being this was posted 5 months ago, but your idle speed needle is screwed in too far, and your low speed needle is too lean. As for trims, ditch the TQi and get something digital, or like your friend said, get a wifi module and use it with your phone to set trims. But I personally prefer a spektrum remote to the TQi.
A lot of manufacturers are killing off beloved Nitro cars due to lack in popularity. Please spread the word to your friends in the community, NOW is the time to buy a kit. If they have been thinking about buying one, they need to do it! Even better would be to write major manufacturers asking them to please not kill off their nitro vehicles. We dont want the best part of our hobby to die! #SaveNitroRC
Hmm, I’m curious if I can get a Grom to reach 100 mph. We recently hit 145 mph with our Limitless on the channel! I’m in Louisiana, and I’m jealous we can’t have basements here. Just subscribed!"
i have a basement track as well i went and got some outdoor carpet and i have some mini z's i run on it its theyre so fun and the outdoor carpet grips perfectly
@V8chump actualy is regular simple shocks with perfectly fast but not to fast Absorbing Setup Tip put 20 wt in slash and its the same minus doble shocks
Loved the comparison! It seemed like the fury did a little better. I would love to see you do it again but with the lcg chassis kit installed on the slash. I’m curious to see how they would compare both having a lcg chassis.
Ya that would be a little better comparison car wise, I know the slash cost a lot more, I went with the vortex mega, awesome truck, waiting on brushless system now
Really I'll run my slash against your slash oh yah look this up castle your friend built your truck not you you need to stick with stickers REALY !!!!!LOL
Sometimes 2S is enough for these buggies. I feel like the sweet spot is where it puts a smile on your face without having to worry about messing up the internals after every run. I remember running 3S with a 2650kv on my 124019, and it just tore up the diffs, broke wheels, and snapped dogbone cups. Then I went back to 2S and was 'just having fun.' I feel like that's how they should be enjoyed best: a 'good enough' motor that does what it's supposed to without having any over-the-top goals in mind. Good for the wallet too, lol.
That motor is only 4000kv or something like that. For it to be fun on 2s you'll want a 5000-6500kv motor i've found. Or just run it on 3s to make it crazy 😅
I managed to get 1 full throttle pull on 3s and snapped a rear dogbone pin 😭 maybe it was a fluke but now I'm afraid to bash it on 3s as all of the parts that break are still on backorder lol.
Agreed! I'm loving it on 2s, it's plenty fast and doesn't overheat. But I don't get much air control, I'll have to try different wheels and tires. I'm running a 19t pinion currently.
I have a Jato 3.3 with a modified engine, Revo 3.3 with a OS .21tm, Nitro Rustler with a Dynamite .19, and the Rustler 4x4 BL-2S electric. All are fun in their own ways! I like the electric for the low noise level, but I’ll always have a soft spot for nitros. I always wanted to get the Nitro Slash, but I ain’t got room anymore :)
A proper comparison. 2wd vs 2wd. Both brushed. Like that this is apples to apples. Now lets just be real, everybody should throw a brushless system in the fury to really make that RC come alive.
I just posted a similar video! Hadn't seen a comparison yet. Glad to see that someone with a following got a video out. Edit after watching: Wow our videos were actually super similar 😂 I promise I recorded mine before I saw yours.
Yep, 2s lipos in both trucks! I have seen a lot of people swapping the titans in when the stock motors die on the gorgons and similar platforms, apparently its a slight upgrade and lasts longer. Congrats on your Fury!
