from the color i can see that is definitely fake .. black ebony color is only available in Goretex variant.. which means the label isnt "LAB" but "GORETEX"
Just bought a 2021 4Runner SR5 Premium, dealership had bald tires on it so I worked out a deal to put brand new falken wildpeaks (also on my gladiator-no issues) on the 4Runner. I had multiple issues with this dealership bad breaks front and back, the broke the emergency brake when changing the rear rotors and pads. It was a shit show. I finally get the car and the thing shakes around 50-70mph. So I take it back three times. Each time they tell me the balance was off, the final time they told me their machine wasn’t calibrated correctly. If I had known this was a common issue I probably would have avoided this car, however I still love it and it fits my lifestyle perfectly. It’s a shame that Toyota doesn’t issue a recall to fix this issue as it seems there are thousands if not tens of thousands of cases just like this. Has anyone had any luck with a road force balance?
So i bought a 23 pro with only 10k on the clock steering shakes from 55 to 65 mph above that it drives fine. It has been aligned and balanced several times and still the same issue plus it pulls to the right any insight?
Wow . I have a 23 forerunner does the same thing, not bad but noticeable. Btw it came with off road tires , does that have anything to do with it ? So definitely I will go get it checked out .
I,have the same problem in 2023 4runner,I purchase new in Grand rapid Michigan, the to dealer change all, tires, and, but they never fixed the problem if any ones know how to fix, this I will like to know
I had this even after doing alignments and balancing, one tire was new the others were the same, it vibrated on the highway, i put 4 new tires on and its gone
This is common and not a problem. Tires are cheaply made and often not perfectly round. As they wear in, they will settle down. More common on new tires or old tires that haven't been rotated. 4 runner is also a hydraulic steering system which directly links it to the suspension and drivetrain. It is more sensitive to harmonics relative to an electronic steering system. If new tires, ride them for a bit. If older tires, get them rotated and balanced.
I had the same issue. It started after I got my tires rotated. First, I decided to get a rebalance which helped but didn’t solve the issue. Dealership said it was because I have all terrain tires. I decided to get an alignment, and it definitely helped, but the shaking is still a bit noticeable. Maybe I’m tweakin lol
I have a 2017 nissan maxima, but when i go 40-60 in a curb. My steering wheel shakes and makes a sound, but it comes from a tire. It could be rotors or something more inside
My2006 Sequoia vibrates on the highway too, checked all bushings and joints and arms and tie rods and replace the drive shaft and new balanced tires.... but still vibrates., any suggestions???
IF YOUR HAVING THIS ISSUE FIRST if you are not a mechanic get help, this work is not for learning on 1. Check CV half shafts going into front diff for play, could be CV needle bearing and require clamshell bushing upgrade. 2. Lug centric road force balancing that is match mounted for all four wheels 3. Check ball joints & tie rods with a 12-6 , 9-3 (o’clock hand placement) with vehicle in the air (hands on tires) for play (free movement/wiggle/slop) 4. Check vehicle alignment. 5. For the love of god, use jack stands 😂
Had this on my tundra since new. always told nothing wrong. 2 sets of tires, balancing and inspection did nothing. from around 50-55 on up. will almost go away after driving for a while and using brakes
I have a year 2000 4 runner rear wheel anyway when I get up to about 40,50,60 it starts out right after 30 but my whole truck will small vibrate but it’s the entire truck nothing violently shaking but a nice vibration I mean it vibrates the door panels it just start doing this about 1 week ago what is this I know my drive shaft is a little unbalanced I’m just wondering
Did you finally get this fixed? I just bought mine a week ago and it does the same thing (it comes and goes though). Please let me know how you are able to fix it.
in my opinion every thing is spot on except the wheels and the early 2000s charger like exhaust beside that this car looks amazing also respect for using a nardi
This is actually pretty common for 4 runners especially if you are doing off road tires of any sort, had this issue on mine with very aggressive vibrations but I also had pretty bad tires that were towards the end of the lifespan once new tires were put on no issues at all
I’m at 78k miles on my 2021 SR5 it’s mostly in the mornings cold starts and I hit the highway it shakes the steering wheels maybe an alignment not sure
Hey guys not to get off subject. But any of you notice running down the road even a little speed if I turn the wheel side to side it almost feels like it’s going to roll over just bought a 2017 off-road. Thinking it’s the struts but I don’t see any oil coming out. Thanks in advance.
