Hi Robin, it's fully central heated and also has an electric fan heated fireplace, it's lovely and cosy. We took along our own fan heater too but didn't need it. We had some really cold and icy conditions in January too!
Well we had a fantastic first cruise on Spirit of Adventure. We did Flavours of the Mediterranean earlier this month. Brilliant from the moment we were picked up from home. Can't wait to do another.
Hi Gillian, we were also on the Flavours of the Mediterranean cruise and after the damp start it certainly turned out to be a great cruise. We loved the itinerary and all the parts were ones we'd love to repeat in the future. So pleased you enjoyed it so much and can't wait for your next one. Saga are fabulous and in another league from the mainstream cruise lines aren't they!

More spacious than a normal caravan, I like this lodge. Do these lodges appear on any other parks? I'm 'down south' and Yorkshire is too far from us sadly
These lodges are almost twice the size of a standard caravan and are so spacious we could live in one. I've no idea which park down south may have identical models for hire but I would have thought there'd be lots of choices of other brands of lodges. This one was an Atlas Lilac model 40 foot by 20 but there should be lots of similar size ones available on southern based parks.
They really are superb, and we love the open plan layout. We're in something similar at Haven Cleethorpes Beach at present, a Willerby Boston and comparing them both, they're very similar but the Boston has a Bluetooth Speaker System installed and also has under unit lighting in the kitchen which means you don't have to use the ultra stark main lighting. As avid fans of subdued and cosy lighting, part of our equipment we take on these kind of holidays are 6 small table lamps to give us the lighting we like in the evenings as we spend most of our time chillin in the lodge. 2 of these are in use as bedside lamps but the ones in the main bedroom at South Cliff are quite nice and cosy.
Denise this is a East Yorkshire Council owned and run Park. You would need to contact them directly via their website, or you can call Reception on 01262 411 699 to enquire about prices. They do vary depending on time of the year you go.
Thank you Sheila, they're very nice lodges, very clean, comfortable and have everything you need in them. Bridlington is our favourite resort on the Yorkshire coast and the park is ideally located on the outskirts of the town but within walking distance of a fantastic long, sandy beach where you can walk for miles if you want. It is also great as a base for exploring other resorts on the coast such as Hornsea, Filey, Scarborough and a bit further afield, Whitby.
Cheers Steve, Olden and Andalsnes were also spectacular sail ins but Geiranger blew us away. I was on the balcony throughout the early hours and being that time of year, there was almost 24 hours daylight even as far south as Geiranger to enjoy it all, just magnificent scenery👍🙂⛴️👌

Hi Gillian, as you may already know there are 5 restaurants on the 2 Spirits, on Adventure you have the Main Dining Room, The Grill, and the 3 Speciality Restaurants. You can eat in a different restaurant each evening but you have to book the 3 Speciality ones, best to do it as soon as you are settled on board, either by phone from your cabin or by going at the time specified to the restaurants and booking in person. Hope you enjoy your first ever cruise as much as we did, the ship is beautiful and the staff and crew are fantastic, we loved it 👍🙂⛴️❤️
You are very welcome Gillian. Booking the Speciality Restaurants is subject to availability of course, but we found the meals and service in the Main Dining Room to be at least as good as the Specialities. It became our new favourite restaurant on our 2nd cruise. Also look out for any themed nights in the Grill. On our last cruise to Norway we really enjoyed the Asian and the Scandinavian Buffets. On Formal Nights the Grill serves the same menu as the MDR and is full waiter service. Hope this helps. Don't forget the brilliant room service too which is available 24-7. We used to have a drink delivered to our cabin while we were getting ready for Dinner in the evening👍🙂⛴️
Great, fast punchy video. Love the stills of the back of the ship at night. Great to see stepped decks at the back of the ship on a new ship. I to do timelapse videos of arriving and leaving ports, great fund, you never know what you will get. Just like a cruise really. Having been on Cunard and P&O (never again) it's now a toss-up between Ambassador and Saga for the northern lights cruise. Thanks for the great video.
Thank you Jackie, we were watching you guys being tendered to the harbour to and from Adventure live on the Port Webcam. Like our cruise which was in Geiranger on the 1st July, we both enjoyed some lovely weather which was a great bonus :-)

I agree Jackie, too easy for spills etc to mark carpets. There were a few stains, red wine etc on the carpets in a couple of places. To their credit though, the Council run South Cliff Holiday Park were in the process of replacing the lounge carpets in all the existing lodges while we were there.
Thank you. This one was lovely and spacious and had everything you could want in a large caravan/lodge. The other two 2 bedroom lodges in the Haven hire fleet were situated on Palm Springs near the seafront path and were of different brands but equally spacious👍
I think this is the ABI Sailmaker caravan, which is very similar to their Ambleside model. But the Sailmaker is exclusive to Haven and not commercially available.
@@stevencarr5294 I believe ABI do quite a few exclusive designs for Haven Steven. Besides the Sailmaker, we have stayed in another Haven "exclusive" called the Seaspray. This was another 40 x 14' ABI with both 2 and 3 bedroom versions. It had the enclosed front decking and very roomy inside.It had fixed seating rather than the 2 seperate sofas.
It's decent now Dave, good facilities which are in the process of a massive investment programme and should be even better when that's completed...plus they've got a fantastic ex-miner bloke driving the Land Train, what more could anyone want 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂😁
Hi Lisa, this is a Haven Fleet caravan and I don't think any of their rental caravans have a washing machine. It did have a dish washer. I think you'd have to find someone renting privately to find one with a washing machine. There is a Facebook group for Haven Primrose Valley and you could ask the question on there to find out if anyone is renting out a caravan with a washing machine👍
Lisa as well as the Willerby Waverley which we stayed in, we've also stayed in one of Havens big ABI Caravan, I would imagine that it was very similar to the Ambleside but again only had a dishwasher and not a washing machine. Both fantastic caravans to spend a week away in though. At a pinch could live in one 😉
