OH MY GOSH....I thought I knew the basics of how to sew...apparently I didn't even know how to properly start..NO WONDER I was having such a hard time..Thank you!!
Several people have said they have no problem dissolving sugar in room temperature water, but mine doesn’t dissolve unless there’s just a little bit of heat, whether from the stove or from the sun. 🤷🏼♀️
How long does it take for them to mature> I started watching some big seed heads 2 weeks ago and they havent changed. and when should you stop dead heading them so they can finish the seeds? TY
I wait until all of the petals have fallen off of the seed head and they are large black seeds that look like fireworks. I don’t cut off the seed heads while they are green. I’m not sure how long it takes from when the flower is fresh to when the seeds are ready to harvest, as I usually don’t look at one flower and wait for it. Usually, I just go out and collect seeds when I can tell they are ready to be harvested.
I bought this sewing machine at least 8 months ago and have not even tried it yet because I'm scared, I know nothing about them. Hopefully this will help me LOL
The best spent money ever i love my sewing machine and i use it daily..i eatch the video if i get stuck..fond the problem and get back to sewing.i love this purchase...

This is great. I grew my Nasturtiums from seeds I bought, and expected to buy more next year. Then I saw these pods and googled them, found this video, and now I have next year's seeds. Thanks!
Thanks a whole bunch!!! You are the female version of Bob Ross for sewing!!! I looked at so many other clips and none failed to confuse me to the point of wanting to return the machine. Awesome explanation and keep up the good work!!
I think you just won the award for Best RU-vid comment ever! So glad I could help! Be sure to follow my sewing adventures on my Easy Things to Sew RU-vid channel for Happy Little Sewing Projects!
I've been feeding hummingbirds for years and never once heated up the water. All heating the water does is dissolve the sugar faster, but the time saved in waiting to dissolve the sugar is eclipsed by the time spent heating up the water. You would probably waste much much much more time by heating the water up. I've never timed it because I've never bothered to do it, but just imagining. There is absolutely no need for heating up the water and it is only a waste of time and electricity/gas (whatever powers your stove). Plus, if you are using room temperature water or at least not cold water from the fridge, the sugar dissolves fast anyway. You just need to stir for a few seconds, maybe 10 or 15 seconds or so, that's it. Just sayin'.
I found that heating the water in someway is the best way to get the sugar to dissolve. I have just set the pot out on my patio in the heat and the sugar is quickly melted, or set the pot next to something I’m fixing on the stove for dinner and the residual heat is enough to get the sugar to melt. I’ve tried stirring the sugar in tap water throughout the day and it takes forever and I don’t have enough time for that. However, I have been very happy with putting a pot of sugar water outside and letting the sun heat the water ever so slightly for the best results. Everyone’s temperature and climate is going to be different with different results. Thankfully, there are so many easy ways to make the food for the Hummers!
If you wash your fabrics, as you always should, the stains might come out. I think the blue floral satin would be georgeous as a top yolk and loose collar on a more vintage style dress.
I agree with glass being the best. I found that buying glass jars This big is costly, so when I found the dollar tree plastic ones it’s a great idea for storage for a year or two.
@Sandy-qj5ex I'm considering checking out thrift stores again foe glass jars. I tried before but the lids were always sketchy. Either rusty on the metal mechanism thing, or discoloration or deformation of the plastic seal. Any tips or ideas or experience with different kinds of lids of glass jars?
@@s731s I buy foods in glass packaging. I love the gallon pickle jars. Canning jars can be bought fairly cheaply. I use the quart size to put in small amounts of staples and the very small jelly jars for spices. The lids can be reused to seal them up but reused to reseal the next jar when washed. The rings are with the lids and jars.
Mine didn’t come with tubes and my sunny area gets early evening shade so I’ll play around with it and see how it does. I’m going to try to center it with rocks too.
I finally broke the needle 😀, my sewing machine won't fit any coin it's too small how fucking ridiculous anyways if it wernt for the lid of a mints box I'd be raging rn
Why am I looking up emergency toilet videos? Because I need one. Septic tank is all backed up into the house and they can't fix it for four days. We have three kids. Oh boy...
Yuck! We recently had to be mindful of our septic tank for a week. It’s much more difficult than people realize. Can you imagine if you didn’t have the option of having it return to normal in a few days? Always a good idea to have a back up plan.
Hmmmm, good question. I'd plant the seeds just like you would any other time of year. So if the seeds have dried out and you would normally be able to start plants from seed at that time, then go ahead and try.
I used this machine for 2 years. I knocked it off the table and the timing was never the same and I could not fix it. There's nothing wrong with this machine for a beginner. It sewed well and I never had problems 😊
Awesome!!! I’ve been sewing some projects on it as well and don’t have any complaints. It’s definitely not as solid as other models, and some things are plastic when in other models they are metal. But for a beginner sewist who doesn’t know how much they will be sewing as a hobby, it’s a perfect start.
If the screw turns, but the needle won’t come down, I’m not sure what the solution would be. My suggestion if the screw did not turn would be to add a little bit of oil to see if it would grease the screw to allow it to move and turn.
