Them part numbers are for the plastic cover to hide the motor. www.otrattw.net/home.php that is where I got the switch. You can call them and tell them what ya want. One up is wipe and press and hold all the way is spray. They will make it for ya
@@carldavid4121 they must be out of them. Try www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts/ford-seal_6l2z-17c412-aa.html Just do a general search on that part number. A few places come up having it
How loud is the compressor and how long does it run to fill the tank? Also, having this system, the tank has to be filled to fill the bags? Would have been good to see you using the system. Thanks for the install tips.
The compressor isn’t to loud. You can hardly hear it inside the truck just a little hum. The tank takes about 2 minutes to fill from empty to 145psi. The tank as far as I know doesn’t have to be full to fill bags. But tank automatically fills I’ve filled bags couple times on one tank before the pump ran to get back up to 145. Hope that helps
@@joestephan82 thank you! I was debating about an inside mounting but heard the compressor was loud. I'm in PA but fortunately I don't drive this truck in winter but glad to hear it's working well!
@@michaelmascarello7025 it’s not horribly loud. But only runs a short time. Maybe 30 seconds to put bags to 40psi. Then really doesn’t come on unless I change the psi
I had these bags on my 2016 F250 with no compressor. I am (was) worried about installing them on my 2018 Ram 2500 because I wasn't sure how to do the compressor. Well, you solved that issue. In my Ford, I had my Schrader valve set up the same as yours. That's a good idea to do it again as a backup. You just saved me a couple hundred bucks! Thank you!
I hope you have better luck than me. Compressor runs every 80 seconds at 5 psi. And at 80psi it runs every 10 minutes. Air lift says I have a leak. I have replaced all lines and fittings. New controller new bags compressor is being shipped out today. I have spent at least 10 hours soaping fittings to find nothing. And I know how to chase leaks as I did it for a living with gases for 40 years. I also have new T's on the way to replace them again. It will air down from 80 psi to 0 in 2 days. I am about to take this system off my truck and throw it in the garbage. I like the way it changed the ride when towing but the compressor running all the time is unacceptable
Man I wonder what is wrong. Mine only runs when I change the pressures And will hold psi for ever. Have to taken the compressor off and just pump it up I would say soap and water on all the stuff but sounds like you did. The bags shouldn’t loss psi Keep me updated. I’ve been running mine for almost 3 years with zero issues. I know a buddy didn’t cut his line square before putting into fitting and his had small leak. But when we found that he’s had no issues also. Hope ya figure it out. It’s a great system
@@joestephan82 I have gone as far as removing the bags them inflating them to 80 psi and putting them in water for hours weighted down fully submerced and no bubbles. Totally frustrated. I did not get the easy mount system and the only thing I see different is the line on the easy mount you used from the compressor to the manifold is a nut fitting crimped line. Mine uses 1/4 plastic from the compressor to the manifold and the brass barbed fitting coming off the compressor gets very hot when running, which I would think would make the plastic line pliable making it prone to leaking but I can't get it to bubble there even.
I've been trying to figure out how to install a push/grab bar on my screen door, which has a very narrow frame (Lippert). Now I know what I need to get! Plus, I'll have the addition of self-closing. Thanks Joe!
I think so. If you ever tear a bag it is a stop on it. When not towing I run 5 pounds and that’s like stock riding. Towing I run 35. All is great so far. Love the on board Compressor
I added and installed a new IR sensor and go turn it on red light is on and once it’s dark the awning led light it turns on and stays on ! Not sure why so I ordered another one thinking it was defective and same issues. I try to turn in on and off and awning light stays on. Any ideas or what I’m doing wrong?
What is the temp out side. I ran into this last year. I think at about 45 degrees the cold messes with the ir. I called lipoert and talked with there Tec to inform them my finding and to pass the info out. Please let me know your finding also. I did a lot of test work and the cold was it. I’m in Michigan so late season is when it would acted up
Yeah mine stays on all the time as well I guess I just won't use it but people should know that it doesn't shut off and will kill your battery if you're not plugged in. It's too bad.
Do you ever put the clear elbow on the hose to see if the flow remains consistent? I often see the black stop or slow early which tells be there a clog. I'll open up the tank flush for a time and then re dump with the added pressure and it clears out. I wouldn't know it was having flow issues without the clear elbow. How do the tires hold up on the roads and such in the parks? Thanks
Just installed these on my 1/2 ton and looking at getting the compressor next, had a question on how you plumbed the compressor and the Schrader valve together in case the compressor fails
Yes just to take sag out. Bring back to level. I like it when hauling at night. Lights go back to normal and others don’t flash there brights thinking mine are on cause there higher up.
Joe - I just got a 2010 Ram 3500 Long Bed Diesel with no bags or compressor. Bought the same setup you got and was looking for a simple, regular Joe install video. Yours was super helpful, so thanks for taking the time! Cheers, Steve
Great video, so do your bag ever leak I had the firestone bags on my 2017 2500 with the remote and I traded it in for a 2018 3500 also and I'm thinking about putting on the air lift bags on to tow my 5th wheel?
@joestephan82...I have a question. I wrote down the "parts list" I need to do this to my Rancher...you said you used 3 90 degree elbows. In the video where you came off the first "rubber boot".You said you used a 45 to go up to the other "rubber boot" then another 45 then short piece than another 45...They all look like 90's..and that's what your part list says.So are they 45 or 90?...I am building this setup soon..so I wanna make sure I buy the right parts..thanks,,PLEASE RESPOND..
I really hope that this is not how you tested your snorkel. The best way to do is after you get done sealing it up cover the snorkel with your hand and wait for it to shut off.May take a second.Better way than testing it in a pond and finding out its not sealed...Congrats though ,glad your rancher snorkel works well, cudos.
holy crap your motor is clean did u do anything to it clean it with anything special I have a 2012 with 960 miles on it and the motor looks nothing like that plz respond =[]
