THIS would really fit as the Gloam-Eyed Queen's Boss Theme! (Her coming to kick your A$$, LOL!) OH S%#@! I just thought of something! Right now, I'm imaging fighting the Gloam-Eyed Queen Melina, and Messmer, at the SAME TIME! (Since Melina is Messmer's Sister, btw!) Messmer's Theme and her's interwoven with one another! Now THAT would be epic AF!
From any point in space the universe is expanding away from you, but from any singular point in any living creature's existence the world is collapsing upon you and every action you perform is only delaying the inevitable.
(Theory) she was made by the jar-sainthood-experiments. A successful specimen (could explain Radagon as an entity she could create from herself). Then maybe she became a saint for the Hornsent, which they wanted to turn into their own God. When she learned how she was created, and about the shaman village, she played their game and turned on them when she ascended to wipe them all out. We see a hospital wing in Messemer's castle for the Jars, which indicates she tried to find a way to cure them without luck. She likely took all the remaining Numen with her to the new world, thet then became the Nox. When Marika came to the Lands Between, she wanted to create a perfect golden age, without death and worship of The Crucible, Hornsent or the Omen. When her perfect son Godwyn was murdered, it shattered her faith in that golden order she preached. She then destroyed the Elden Ring and guides us, the tarnished with grace to wipe the slate clean, burn the tree and make a new world. She tasked her loyal daughter Melina to help us with this and gave her an eye of the Gloam Eyed queen to kill us if we choose the path of Frenzied Flame. Because even after everything, Marika still wished for a better world instead of destroying it.
Nah. She was doubting the Order before Godwyn died (Speak to Melina at the Golden Order Seal Church) Marika was traumatized by her past, and motivated entirely by a need for vengeance and eternal control/godhood. She never wished her reign to end and would have all her children die for it. She earlier removed the ryne of death to prolong the suffering of the Hornsent and her own etrrnal rule.

allow your mind to be cloud not, brave tarnished, remember that it was Shabriri that to this fate consigneth the merchants, by his tongue t'were the events leading to your discovery of this crime set in motion. He wanted you to find this place, to taketh it with your eyes the atrocities of the golden order that you might cry out in Nihil and Despair for all to burn, in spite of the chance to set right the wrongs of the old order. I prithee, listen again to the woeful song of the merchant people, even in this, their time of deepest despair, there is yet hope in their tune, however faint may it be. For all this worlds evil, it's trial a tribulation, I ask thee is there not yet good, triumph and succor to be found? So sayeth I: better ye learn, suffer, grow and live than succumb to a peaceable end. For to wish death upon thineselves, a tragedy, but upon all the world, good and evil alike? *Madness*
Love Elden Ring, and really liked the dlc. But to think we had incest pair instead of developing godskins more... gives me conniptions. On point though, the soundtrack was already awesome, and you improved a lot upon it, well done.
"Relinquish, ye Tarnished. For there is naught but grief here. No one to help here. So abandon, ye who yet holds it, hope. There is no answer. For this is where it had started. And this is where it will end. For our Mother shall never again return. For there is nothing left to return to. There is no one to save anymore. No one to embrace Gold. Only memory yet dwells. Grace will fade. And the gods will lament forever more. What is thy prayer? Thy faith? Thy confession? Matters not. For no one shall ever return home again. Not together; not ever. And the rays of Gold will finally dim."
Maybe I'm losing my mind, but the beginning percussions of this song sound exactly like the "Drums of Le-Koro" heard in the Bionicle The Mask of Light movie right after Lewa saves Takua and Jaller.
