Folk Firearms Collective was created with the intent and purpose of preserving the history and art-form surrounding traditional muzzle-loaders. Our primary focus is to invite all to share in the passion of black powder.

Thoroughly enjoyed the video, and great to see everyone having a good time. I have a .50 and .54 and completely hooked 14 years ago after being introduced to these types of firearms. All the best to you all
Not being negative at all. Are range rods considered a traditional primitive tool in muzzleloading? I see most of these shooters using them. I use one to load my hunting rifles and when target shooting.
Sometimes some elect to use them in order to preserve the rod that goes with the gun especially on a high volume trail walk with lots of loading. In a hunt or so - most just use the guns rod. Just personal preference is all I believe.
Thank you for a great video ! I grew up in the area where DAVEY CROCKETT and SGT. YORK were legends, so my favorite rifles were southern long Tennessee rifles. Due to age and medical conditions I can no longer get out, but your videos give me a lot of pleasure !!! Keep it up, I look forward to seeing more !!👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you sir. This is a very inspiring and humbling post here and gives me all the more reason to get these videos out. I hope they fill you with the sense of being there once more.
Love everyone's period attire. Some grizzled old gents in your troupe. They look like they just came down from the mountains. How many of the rifles in your group are original?
Thank you for letting us join in on your fellowship. Spending time with you gentleman and ladies makes those of us who feel a little out of place in modern times a bit better. Thanks again, I look forward to our next gatherings.
Absolutely love, love, love all your videos! Would love to meet you all in person. You are an inspiration to every muzzleloader enthusiast everywhere! Keep the m coming!!!!
That means a lot. I like to think of it as we are inspired by the muzzleloaders everywhere! Perhaps we inspire one another and that’s what makes this hobby/life so grand and enjoyable. It’s quite an uplifting endeavor to pursue the traditions here. On occasion I see the intact pursuit of traditional muzzleloading on the east coast with envy as well! Believe me we strive to keep these videos coming with every bit of free time we have. If I could - it’s all I would do. Keep enjoying the videos and we will keep them coming.
😆 to think how I have to trim these down! Hardest part is music. I need more Folk friends with fiddles and mandolins and banjo to pluck some traditional tunes. Hey there’s 20 more videos also! Thanks for the compliment.
