Hello Mind you, I have three different lathes for various jobs. If you want the specific one shown in this video, The lathe I used is Pultra 10 (8mm) They are great for medium to small work. I do recommend it. I hope this helps.
Hello For filming hairspring and lathe work. I used Andonstar AD09 Microscope. It's good equipment but I don't use it anymore. It was temporarily used at home work during the COVID-19. I use Durston Professional Jewellers Microscope in my workshop. I hope this helps.
nice, I got a AS 1903 movement to do that but went a few seconds either way when I did it in other poisons I am a hobbyist tinkerer though but great stuff all the same
Thank you. I still remember many years of practice in 2005 or 2006 when I first started adjusting hairspring, Now it's a muscle memory to me but I was concerned about using shoddy homemade tools when dealing with a mainspring. I didn't have a proper tool at that time. I'm just happy that I got a good result in the end.
Wow what a great video! very comprehensive and the motivational speaking to music had me chest thumping my way to this Vostok hairspring repair!! Thankyou so much. BTW where did you get the speeches from?
Wahnsinn. Ich hab auch ein 30T2 hier bei dem die Breguetspirale komplett deformiert ist. Ich biege seit Monaten daran rum um es wieder richtig hinzubekommen … leider kostet eine neue Unruh 200!
I don't normally ask this but If you like the video, you can press like and subscribe. This will help to grow the channel for us, and this will help us to make a new content in the future. Kindly appreciate. Thank you.
Sorry but forgive me, I don't know what you mean by that? What is Pibor? I google search it and doesn't explain anything. I assume the language barrier was misunderstood between us.
Hello, Thank you for watching. Yes, I did burnish and polish the pivot to create resistance to wear over time You may have missed the description in the video that I mentioned that there is no video of me doing burnish and polish but I did it off the camera. Now I wish I had included in this video to be honest. Kind regards
I've got the same watch as this (omega 30t2) and the hairspring was completely destroyed, you mention in the video a overcoil hairspring is impossible to find and you are correct on that, for 6 years, i have not found one watchmaker or even omega accreditor who can repair my omega with new hairspring to make. even omega authorized service centres does not have spare omega hairspring. Would you be willing to repair my omega with a new hairspring like you did in this video? I'm from the US by the way.
Hello Jake Thank you for watching the video, we can help you make a new hairspring. I'm sure we do have it now in stock for the original Omega 30T2 overcoil hairspring. If we don't then we must service your Omega 30T2 calibre first before we make a new hairspring and adjust the timing screws for better timekeeping accuracy. However, it will be at least four to five months of waiting time, due to long backlogs to complete. If you are happy with that, please privately message me for further requires. Thank you.
Hello, you contacted me regarding springs for 30t2. and you sent this link. friend, springs for 30t2 are generally available and cheap, there is no point in making them. the cheapest option is a few pounds, ebay is full of parts for 30t2 and 26x 28x calibres, the spring is the same. In general, the whole balance is the same
@@Karol235 Thanks Karol235 I already sent the email to watchmaker specialist and they did say they have the original omega 30t2 hairspring from a donor watch now. Should be okay now.
@@Karol235 Thank you, do not worry, We have the original spare overcoil hairspring now for the customer. This was done during Covid-19 back in 2021. We didn't have spares at that time and I wasn't able to order one, same for the Fourth wheel and this is why we had to make one instead. Kind regards.
I heavily question your audio choice, but muted it was a great and informative video 😅 love the quality of your microscope shots, and questioning myself if I should get one for my upcoming „fix my own King Seiko mess“ task. Potentially it’s better to invest a few more euros now instead of hunting down a 5626B hair spring later 🥺
Thank you and I appreciate it , In the beginning of my video in the description text duration at 0:13, it will explained why. It's a banter, and not to been taken it seriously. it's called motivational speech. I understand some people like it and some don't like it.
@@watchmakerspecial516 no worries, I originally understood the explanation but it still wasn’t for me. But frankly, videos that would be for everyone would be dramatically boring, so better have some delighted and some unhappy, as everybody unimpressed and underwhelmed. Right? 😁
Hi, i'm your new subscriber, I have a question, on 10.36, do both stones always have the same measurement or different, which means you have to keep adjusting it until it ticks when in operation in the movement?
The both impulse jewel are the same size, length, width and thickness. Both must facing the opposite. I only adjust the depth in the pallet fork prong and leave atlease 1mm out and then apply heated shellac. Hope this makes sense. Thank you for watching and subscribing. Kind regards Mat
Well if you read description at 0:13, it will explained why. It's a banter, and not to been taken it seriously. it's called motivational speech. Thanks for watching.
