Idk why but yesterday maxi hit a wonderful knock of 201* against afghanistan and today YT recommended this to me. Who else loved that one man show? 91/7 to 293/7.
Thanks for the catching techniques but the only problem is that I am short in height and I face some problem in catching especially the catch which comes to me like a rocket😟
Hello dear this is Josh cricket coach from India I did ICC level one coach course in Dubai 👍 I like to do level 2 if there is any chance please let me know I like to do 👍
Thank you for video but I do not think catching a ball eye level on face is a good practice for safety reasons if for some reason you miss the ball it can cause serious facial injuries Keeping eye on ball is key but move face to sides in taking the catch for safety reasons
I learnt in swing on my own using a normal kid's plastic ball that has seam pattern at centre. Initially, I also struggled to inswing the ball and I watched lot of videos explaining the same technique similar to this video. The problem with this technique is most of the times your release will be a scrambled seam. So, if you are lucky it will swing into the right hand batsman if the release is correct i.e., an upright seam position pointing towards leg slip/fine leg. So, I tried to correct my release with same technique by observing it in the video of my release recorded with my phone. However, It didn't work for me. So what worked for me was, ROTATING MY WRIST TOWARDS LEG SLIP DURING RELEASE. After learning this, I was able to swing-in but my pace dropped a bit due to that wrist rotation adjustment. I continued practising this with plastic ball and was able to achieve both pace and inswing. The idea is, only you have to figure out yourself that how you are going to achieve that seam position by making adjustment in your action and release. For some people in my cricketing circle, it works by keeping natural wrist release but ny delivering the ball from left side of their head (check Mohd. Asif's coaching video on swing). Good luck ! I hope my experience helped.
I think for a video that is about WRIST spin, the camera focused on everywhere else but the wrist. Even the segment on release had his hand half cut off by the top of the screen.
