Really? The Hawaii Convention Centre is the airport of Lost? I was expecting if it was the same place as in Jurassic World when I saw that place for the first time, but it was indeed 😂 Thanks for the confirmation Scott! Greets from Spain!
I really like Oahu and the old part of Honolulu, my favourite was the North Shore... it is more chilled there and is not commercialised like Waikiki. We visit the North shore for my LOST film(s) as always, thank you for watching :)
Amazing video as always! I went to Kualoa Ranch last year and did three of the tours. One thing that did frustrate me was when my girlfriend and I were in the bunker, everyone just would walk by and take pictures and keep it moving while my girlfriend and I would actually be reading the stuff because that’s what you’re supposed to do in a museum. Because no one else in the group actually appreciated what they were looking at and just wanted to take pictures to show off that they were there opposed to actually being present and enjoying it, they were all in the bus waiting already so the tour guide hurried my girlfriend and I up (kind of rudely) so we could catch up with the group…
Thank you!!! Sorry to hear you had that experience... I have to say I was very lucky on our tour. The tour guide was really interested in the 35mm and gave me a fair amount of time at the locations letting me spend extra time at the JP location. It is never nice feeling rushed though, especially if you have travelled a long way specfically for those locations. Cheers Scott
This series has been great to follow. We've visited both islands a couple times and it's been a pleasure to revisit some of the loadings but with the added benefit of better cinematography than you find on RU-vid. I was actually a bit bummed at the end of the previous video when it said this would be the final in the series. Imagine my anticipation when I saw there will at least one upcoming LOST video. This may be my favorite show and we've visited many, many of those locations.
Carl, thank you so much for following the series and for your kind words. I will drop a post on here at some point re the LOST video (s). Kauai really is a great place and I am pleased that these vids have provided a little window back into that world for you :) All the best Scott
That is really cool, my aim was to try and make a series where people could feel like they were with me experiencing it for themselves. Pleased you got something from watching them, and thank you for watching them all :) Cheers Scott
I went here for the first time last year and we did the HEB tour and I was heartbroken that didn't stop the log. Around the time you uploaded your first video, I had flown back to Kauai to go to the film locations myself as well as make a stop in Oahu to get my picture with that damn log and did the Jurassic Park movie tour site tour. Our guide was fun enough to let me be the first one to get his photo and stating that we even have some people that traveled 5,000 mi just to get a photo with this log. I've enjoyed watching your videos. It's great to see I'm not the only crazy one that made it a mission to go to all of these awesome locations
I am pleased you got to go back and get your picture! You certainly are not the only one crazy enough... I just reframe the word crazy as passionate these days lol. So pleased that you enjoyed my videos, I love hearing from people as crazy ( I mean passionate) about that movie as me. Its like the planets aligned in 1993, some probably do think I am a bit mad but hey, thats for small minds :) Cheers for watching mate, Scott
Wow! One day looking for Jurassic Park filming location, I found your first video and I subscribed to your chanel, so thank you from Spain, because even though I'm far away I love your passion for film making. ¡Gracias! (In spanish) Can't wait for Lost filming location!
Cheers Ernesto! Spain!! Awesome... I love to know the place where my videos have reached :) I am pleased you enjoyed the videos, I will be posting and update on the LOST series soon :)
Thank you so much for sticking with me throughout this series, your comments have been motivation for me to sit behind the editing suite for hours on end. I will always drop a post on here when I have something new on its way :) Cheers Scott
An excellent end to an excellent series…thank you so much for putting all these together…I can’t wait till I get the chance to visit Hawaii! Good on you for chasing your dreams, I wish you the very best for the future.
Re drones, you will have to look at the drone app at the time. You need to do the US Drone course which will let you register your drone if it is a small one. But these rules change all the time.:)
Astounding video!! I still remember my mom and dad taking me and my brother to see the movie in 1993. I was 7 and my brother was 5 at the time. I collected everything like you, including the "Jurassic park the ultimate visual history" book. It is my dream to visit these parts one day and I'm still preparing my cameras to go there early like you did. Keep up the great work and much luv from Romania!📸🙌🙂 "Life finds a way"
Thank you so much much for sharing your story with me... it feels me with joy knowing my video has evoked childhood memories similar to mine! I truly hope "Life finds a way" for you get to go there , it really is an awesome experience and you will not regret it! Drop me a message if you ever go, I may be able to help you with directions and stuff if you need it :)
@@kisherefilm Thank you very much and I sincerely appreciate it. I will definitely let you know when I visit there. Can't wait to see more videos from you! All the best!!✊🙂
I still have my original copy of The Making of Jurassic Park, I have not read the Crash Mcreery book... would like to though. There is a show on Netflix about Jurassic Park... think it is called The Movies that Made Us, it is worth a watch if you have not seen it
ANOTHER awesome episode! Not wanting it to end! I think you've done the film, your childhood memories AND the island of Kauai justice with this documentary. Really well done, Scott!
I really appreciate you saying that... I was up to 3am editing this one! I enjoy it though, it has given me the opportunity to re-live the experience and I enjoy looking at the adventures of others. It is good to know there are likeminded folk out there like you! Restores my faith in humanity :) Episode 6 coming soon!
That is very kind of you to say... I am sat here in my editing cave on a sunny day working on the next one, so feedback like this makes my day :) Cheers Scott
I kind of treat Jurassic Park as a separate movie to any of the sequels. It was so groundbreaking and none of the visual effects were over used as they were in the sequels. Even 30 years later I feel it has aged better than the Jurassic World movies, that are less than 10 years old :) Thank you for watching
Loved it - another fantastic episode! Just got back from Kauai and was sad we didn't get to visit any new JP locations... that was until I saw your video. On day 3 of our trip, we went on a "nature hike" to a waterfall with a river next to it. I had NO IDEA this was the Amber Mine scene from the movie! Imagine my joy when I arrived home and realised I actually filmed in one of the JP locations. Once again THANK YOU for providing such awesome content!
Oh dude that is so awesome to hear, so pleased it helped you identify the location! I hope you had a good time on Kauai, I love that place! Cheers for your kind words :) Scott
Jurassic Park is my favorite of all time!!! Just moved to Kaua’i a year ago and the Jurassic Park history here is definitely an added bonus. I still have some places to go see yet. Thank you for sharing your experience!! I can never get enough of Jurassic Park. I do Uber here on island and people love hearing all the facts about Jurassic Park!!!!
WOW!! You moved to Kauai, that is so cool! I bet Uber is great actually, most of the value I take away from travel (especially in Hawaii) was the interesting and friendly folk I met! Being a JP fan and living on Kauai is such an awesome existence! I hope you can get out and explore, if you have any questions let me know... although I am sure you will get plenty of advice from locals and other fans during your Uber journeys :) Cheers Scott
I completely share your passion with this amazing world of JURASSIC PARK. It's just I am so a big fan that I cannot resist the temptation to watch your videos over and over. GOOD JOB SCOTT!!!!
Hi Scott, thank you for another awesome episode! I really love them! I share your passion for Jurassic Park and hope to visit the locations for myself one day! Keep up the good work!
I love hearing that other people share my passion for JP! Thank you for your kind words and I really hope you get to visit someday. The videos do not do the locations justice and there is a connectivity you get from standing in the actual spot that the magic happened, so if you go it is definitely an investment in yourself! I am working on another episode as I write this so it should not be too long before the next upload :) Best- Scott
It really is incredible, once in a lifetime kind of memory :) I am pleased you enjoyed the gate / paddock video... hopefully I will have more on the way soon
