This channel is for entertainment purposes only. RU-vid is a horrible place to learn about operating aircraft. Let alone operating in backcountry mountainous environments. Wide angle cameras do not show proper prospective or any environmental factors involved. 99.9% of what it takes to do this type of flying is left out. To include but not limited to; Aeronautical Decision Making, Equipment, Skill, Experience, and Environmental Factors. Please gain local very experienced instruction and mentorship. Happy flying and be safe!
Hi Kirk, well be flying into dewey moore with sawtooth fly service this november for a backcountry hunt. Do you reccomend this? I hear often that this is a dangerous airstrip. Appreciate your advice! Thanks
Can you confirm that you approached and went to the other end of the lake so you would have a go around option? If you approached from outside in, it looked like you would have been flying into a box with little to no room to go around.
Thank you. I don’t do anything in an airplane unless I’m sure I can do it with a healthy margin. Takes a lot of experience, practice, and proficiency 👍
EXCELLENT WOW I never seen Video like this in all RU-vid . Every corner and angle every view wow.. You know how to make a video like a very very professional way. Peoples here don't know what exactly they're doing in the name of making some videos . No knowledge about it and how to hold the camera in there hands..lol
This is a perfect example of RU-vid how it was intended: a platform for people to show bits of their life to entertain others. And boy was this entertaining to watch, with the scenery, camera angles and soothing sound of the engine!
Awesome flying. Beautiful place. However, there’s no plan B if the engine stumbles or quits. Even a little wind shear can ruin your day when you are low and slow. Better have absolutely top tier maintenance and beyond top level skills if you are gonna do much of this type of flying. Even so, it’s a roll of the dice.
I'm flying my 185 to Utah for the first time tomorrow, getting some instruction and experience. I have a thousand questions for you, but this isn't the forum for that. Maybe we'll meet up in Utah or Oshkosh or somewhere. . . .
