Sounds weird, I know but i tended to fall asleep with the telly on and wake in the very small hours to the ceefax pages and music. It was always so relaxing. I loved this.
Many years ago I had trouble sleeping without the TV on if my wife wasn't in the bed with me, so I used to put analogue TV on in the middle of the night to listen to the Ceefax music quietly. She started enjoying sleeping that way too, lol. I know you get worse sleep with background noise, but it really was lovely.
The answer is...no! Fay Gibbs Music Services supplied various library and commercial tracks to the Beeb. These tracks could be used as they were published and released outside of the UK, avoiding full copyright charges...
Tracks from Italian libraries Patchwork and Ariston, and various Czech produced/performed tracks also featured on the Fay Gibbs supplied tapes. The BBC cue sheets ended up with mostly made up track names and performers....
