We will be creating different videos related to the laser aspect of our business. We will be doing tutorials of our most popular products, how we make them, settings, and much more.
We will also be doing comparisons of the different laser engravers we have coming through our shop for those looking for comparisons to figure out which laser they want to buy!
Could you print a whole sheet of the logos with some targets on the sheet, apply the whole sheet of logos to a whole sheet of leatherette and then use print and cut in lightburn? Not sure if the DTF can tolerate two pressings, one to apply to the leatherette, and another to apply the patches to the hats.
I see from comment leatherette already had adhesive applied. What kept the adhesive from being activated when you did the DTF heat press in first step? Why did it not stick to your press?
@@HITEMUPGaming I honestly couldnt tell you at this point - you would have to look at the google sheets file attached in the description of the video (I havent used my xtool in like 1 year or so)
probably a very stupid question, but i just got my order in...does the white sheet get thrown away,or is that just used as like press paper? or is it the actual adhesive?
What is the rubber sheet or silicone sheet you put over the top when pressing the hat. I ordered some and they get extremely hot and ruin the DTF print and stick to the platen. I feel I may have bought the wrong kind. Can you hit me with a link and also have you tried butcher paper or a teflon sheet?
Did you design your colored logo yourself? If so, what program did you use to do the designing and who or how did you get the DTF finished product to adhere to your leather? Did you outsource that step to create the DTF's?
I had someone at a marketing company I used to work for design it. I have someone with a dtf printer print them for me, then heat press them onto the leatherette
Thanks so much for the video. Great advice to help me going in to my first tumbler engrave. Have you tried these settings with Yeti brand tumblers? I'm using the Atomstack X7 Pro which is also a 10 watt diode so I'd assume it'll be the same. I also love your idea about raising the chuck up for items with handles. I've really struggled with them.
Can you share how you incorporated the Lonestar Adhesive? Did you have it pre-applied to the leatherette? At what stage did you add the adhesive? Love this and can't wait to try it out!!! I have lots of leatherette and many ideas I can't wait to try. Thank you for sharing.
I buy with adhesive already applied! I do have rolls of it as well to apply to my plastic - put it on the full sheet of material and press on the flat heat press for 12 seconds (can’t remember temp) then ready to cut. Glad to hear of the code use! I don’t get any kickback from it - just asked for a coupon to help others find the product I love and test it.
Hello and thanks very much for doing this video! You get right to it with useful information and not a lot of fluff. Question - You make it clear that you're doing this with the xTool d1 10W - would you say that's the minimum power needed for burning tumblers? I have a 5W at the moment, but probably about to buy the newer 20w machine. I'm hoping that will give me plenty of power to do this type of work. Thanks again.
Thank you so much! I’m sure you can do it on the 5w, just have to do your power speed tests to find your perfect settings. But a 20w will be perfect as well with faster speeds too!
I wonder if you can go ahead and do them in a sheet and then use Lightburns camera and print to cut function. That a way you don't have to fiddle with the allinement. 🤔
I don’t have a camera, would have to purchase one. I’m trying to think of ways to press first then cut. Was thinking of the prints could but done on an exact same size sheet of the leatherette and then I know the exact spot and can add the border to cut?
nice video, just got my hands on a crealty falcont 2 22W. getting ready for my first tumblr. just one question . how did you convert the image in Photoshop?
I am unsure about the white tempura paint. Have only every tried the black paint. I actually do not use the xTool anymore as I have upgraded to 3 CO2 lasers and a UV laser for glass. Let me see if I can find the time to do a video on that type of glass!
I hope you love your new machine! It’s what I started out with and made me a lot of money and have since purchased 4 new lasers (3 CO2, 1 UV). Im glad to hear that they worked for you! They are very easy to Do once you figure it out one time.
Yeah, this was a bad video. Im in the middle of all new lasers being installed and reorganizing my shop and plan to set up a table and get a better video made on these!
Bro I just bought a omtech af2028 60w I got a piburn 4.0 Did the suggested settings 12500 63mm Got the right size for the tumbler which is 99’m like you did My edges come out pixelated not smooth Any ideas why?
Hello! So I actually just replaced my 150w laser with 3 AF2028 80w machines. Did you do a square test on a tumbler? Do a 30x30 square in lightburn and run it on your OMTech and see if it is actually 30x30 (if it isn’t you need to adjust your steps until it is! 😁
@@SodaCityBoards I’m going to try and update you on that one I checked my dip switches and they are all correct on the Y axis 5000 which is times 2.5 gives me 12500 Also to get rid of those edges I have to lower my interval to .7 AT LEAST but I seen people do very smooth curves and designs with only .1 interval What settings do you use if you don’t mind me asking, we shouldn’t have much of a difffwrent between our machines
