That's a beautiful area. Planning on getting myself a bike in the future. Gonna have to learn to pack light as I intend to do a lot of commuting to and from work on it.

What I’m concerned about is body positioning. Like how should my back look? At an angle, straight, or leaning forward. Head? Tilted downward or facing straight. Arms? Slightly bent, really bent. I went on the highway for the first time today and when I got off on my exit. This guy said I looked really uncomfortable. I ride a 2024 Kawasaki z650. So it’s a naked sports bike. Thanks guys!

I practiced today and I loved it. I will do this every morning for one hour all week until I perfect left and right turns 😎 For the first day, I tried a lot, and I will succeed 2-3 times 😄 It will be better if I practice more. I know.

I just discovered these Dan/Nikki videos and they're my favorite moto vlogging content, by far. I just got my license at the ripe age of 54 and my wife is working on hers next. I can't wait until we're riding together like this. Are you guys going to be producing any more of these?

Actually handles the pants-to-jacket zipper, in a close-up shot of the pants, and says nothing about it. The corresponding zipper on the jacket is clearly visible too, but never shall the two be discussed? Apparently no one actually uses this mysterious feature, unless they have a valet with them on all rides? And that's only for the valets to talk about, in their secret video channels?

My other 3 bikes are great in the wind but my Enduro with a 38” seat height and only 300 lbs scares the crap out of me on windy days. So, I’m handling that like I did rain riding. If it’s windy I take the enduro out if it rains I grab a bike and get out there. It’s the only way to build confidence.

Since this post I learned something. The new tires were not inflated properly or lost air or whatever but I got the pressure corrected and it’s much less an issues. I ride it everyday day regardless of weather.

1. Look where you want to go. 2. Ride more defensively than you drive; you are smaller. 3. Adjust mirrors before riding 4. Do a quick preride inspection. 5. Know your fuel capacity. 6. Motorcycle parts can burn. 7. Get gear. 8. Dress in layers. 9. Pick shoes or boots with good traction. 10. Know local motorcycle laws. 11. Double check tire pressure.

The only problem I see with your approach is when you are squeezing over to the left to see down the road it looks like your mirrors are hanging over the center line and I notice cars pass by you over to the left of their lane because they are unsure about YOU maybe coming over onto them.

So true. Used to ride to work in the dark. I got so I could tell when they were going to change lanes before they did. Thought that riding a bike would be too stressful. Been riding a long time now, gotta be smart, and alert, great therapy!

My biggest fear is hitting a big pot hole or tire debris, When you hit it with your car, imagine hitting it with your bike going down and the death wobble. Im at 80-90 miles now. That wind that moves your bike sideways is scary.

I got my licence in Oz back in the laye sixties...the police sergeant told me to ride round the block, when I got back he gave me my licence.......different world back then on Triumph Twin with the fuses under the seat...one night, dirt road, big bump, fuses fell out😂 lucky I ate my carrots like my mum told me too. Great videos, still learning, still doing U turns and stuff each week in a parking lot. One thing I do is take it easy for the first five minutes of any ride- commute, road trip, shopping trip- that gives my brain time to think, wake up dude, be alert

Random, but I love the way the S has been removed from SHOE. I can't get over what Americans consider "traffic" It's so light with so much room... It's like rush hour traffic 30 years ago when I was living in the country surrounded by nothing but farms! people in cars don't even look for other cars before changing lanes. if they did there would never be any kind of traffic accident at all (and in NZ we have about 10 times the density of traffic at the best of times. it's actually very hard to not be in someone's blind spot as all of the vehicles are so close together!)

Tired yes, but I've been up for 12 hours now... Coffee sounds good! on a side note, I took the scooter down to where the beginner basic handling & skills test is done this morning. and yes I was right, it is much more difficult when you have a centrifugal clutch driven off the CVT (and not the engine) than when you have a real clutch! (and surprisingly nobody cared, I must have looked like a noob that wanted to practice, rather than some clown that was just playing for the hell of it!

My wife just started riding so I bought the book. We live in the middle of nowhere Nevada and cones couldn't be found quickly in this town. So we used red solo cups with a little dirt put in them to keep them from blowing away

I agree. I too own a 2022 FTR R Carbon, 2 years later still fascinated with it and just Love everything about it….my only 2 complaints are small gas ⛽️ tank and range and the seat could be more comfortable, besides just Love my FTR and the looks I get on the road!

This video would be better if it addressed the challenges of cutting through heavy motorcycle riding gear. The shears that come with the RESQ kit would not be up to that task.

You really need to look out as far as you can. Checking the road for debris or pothiles. I try to find a quiet spot traffic wise. Dont tailgate especially trucks. Tire debris or dead animals at highway speeds come spitting out and you cant miss them if you folllow too close.
@dzeyo651
@dzeyo651 3 месяца назад
heres a good one for everybody .. on a 2 lane road especially, move to the right side of your lane with approaching traffic from the opposite direction .. a driver antsy to pass and right up on someone hes tailgaiting wont see you until he's already pulled out if youre on the left of middle of your lane .. too many idiots i see think they have to be brave or something and 'hold the middle' or even further to the left as oncoming traffic approaches ... you WILL wind up having to ditch off the side of the road if you keep it up .. and thats best case scenario ... stay further to the right and they usually see you ..

I try to avoid to ride with heavy winds. But when I have to, I turn my knee to the side where the wind is coming from. Foot still on the footpeg, and let the knee move with the wind. To me, it seems effective to keep control. But a heavier bike is of course even better.

I'll just add, when engine breaking and really losing speed, flash that rear break light so that people behind you understand your slowing down

I usually don’t ride when it’s too windy. Like today there’s 40mph wind gusts and to me it just makes riding very unenjoyable. Not that I can’t deal with it, but I’d rather not lol
